[ROM][4.4.4][GSM/CDMA] CarbonRom Unofficial - 2014/10/23 updated!

Dear CarbonROM Folks,

I installed CWM Recovery 5.8.4.5 from this http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1751826
and downloaded carbon KK Unoffical umts spyder from http://d-h.st/users/qkdxorjs1002/?fld_id=29464#files

Steps I followed:
1. Copied the Cabon KK.Zip into the SD Card
2. Went into CWM Recovery
3. Wipe data and factory reset
4. Wipe Cache
5. Installed ROM from SD Card (Over the stock ROM and Kernel Only was there previously)
6. It went into Motorola Logo and then went blank.

Its not booting any more. please let me know how to Fix it. I need solution asap pls.

Well, you killed the phone

Download rsd lite, and jellybean rom. Flash it, root it, install Safestrap recovery, then car

You must reinstall the system using RSD, then root the phone and install safestrap (you can try BMM but it's currently out of support and outdated) and into safestrap install Carbon or any other ROM of your choice.
You can find here in the forum how to use RSD.

I bought back the phone to life...
For all those with bricked phones ....
In this link is the http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2219290 is the retail version of XT910 JB GSM Version O2 UK. But works for India Region.
Down Load the file.
install the Motorola Drivers.
Install the Motorola RSD lite.
Install FAST BOOT for adb commands
Open RSD lite and connect the RAZR with USB to PC.
Wait for PC to detect all Drivers.
Then in CMD prompt type to C:\Fastboot> adb reboot-bootloader
Once in AP Fastboot mode.
Click Open in RSD lite Application.
Select the path in which the JB ROM is present.... Select Decompress and Flash the file.
Wait for atleast 3 hrs(in my case)
After Multiple Reboots your phone is back to life with JB.
Sorry to pollute the Carbon ROM thread. But I thought Penning it down would be useful for NOOBS like me.

The forum is here for fix your/our mistakes... If I know what I know is because somehow I followed into the same problems as you... So be cool to ask whatever you need, I'll answear when it's at my reach and for sure someone else will do too.

art runtime

I have installed carbon-kk-unofficial-20140915-1821
on my umts spyder.
I have also bootmenumanager bmm,
can i switch runtime from dalvik to ART?
will i loose something?
or should i first install some newest carbon rom?

I have been running liquid for some time and it took a dump on me...installed latest Carbon with fresh install. I do believe this is the best my phone has run.
Kudos my friend, Carbon is top shelf, even my nexus loves Carbon.
Hope you continue to support this old RAZR...

Hope this thread isn't dead yet..
Carbon is my DD for almost a year (don't even know how long

), really like it. Only one thing to complain is that music app, no matter if the Apollo or the CM12 Eleven music player simply stop working after some time. FC few seconds after launch. The only "cure" is clean reinstall of entire ROM (which is quite a lot of work, after you settle in..)
Any ideas? Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Me too using it as my dd. Very good rom. No problems with my music player app too. Try rocket player....u'll love it....may not try any other...music app....

This is the best rom I can find for my razr, I've been using carbon rom since ICS. The customizing features can't be beat. The extra options really make a difference for me. Thank you for keeping this rom updated as long as you have so far and I'd love to see a 5.1 lollipop version eventually *fingers crossed*

This ROM is great, but my phone is constantly awake, even when the screen is off. Is there a way to alleviate this? I can confirm that it is not due to any one application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Active display might be the answer. It uses the proximity sensor to check if the device is operated by you. Basically, when you touch the phone or move it, it will automatically turn display on and show you some notification preview, date, clock etc. Although I've been using it for a quite long time and haven't any problem with phone not sleeping.

My phone Is xt910s GSM deleted Cid
I'm using BMM, axxion on slot 1 signal is fine, installed carbon in slot 2 it worked fine, but no cell network signal,WIFI worked fine, I think I need to flash baseband bb.img, I Tried radio from this form but with no luck, I hope if any one could help .

Delete CellBroadcastReciever.apk from system/app.

Which file explorer are you using?
You must give it root permission...

I've always loved carbon but I just tried to install it using Safestrap 3.75 and it booted to a blank screen. I couldn't eve boot back in to safestrap and ultimately I had to RSDlite back to stock.
I'd love to try this rom but.....
