This is exactly why i will not upgrade from the Hero to the Desire. It's still a hero in my eyes.
I just don't understand how these companies think. I've read in some reviews about the Desire where they say the AMOLED screen it's BLINDLY bright!!!! why would anyone need that? especially when you're compromising true colors as HTC claim the Desire has on their website. The screen on the Hero is more than perfect.
They just do all they can to make it cheaper and cheaper ... same goes for the battery, they just want to compete in thickness and end up with smaller batteries.
this is why we will never see a perfect phone.
As irkan had said ... for those where they're seeing pink tints outside of Gmail, like me, on practically every app (varying degrees of pink regardless of brightness setting), then contact T-Mobile to organise a replacement. Remember, in the UK, you only have 7 days to register your fault and get a replacement from T-Mobile.,
Is this pinkish tint something that the Nexus One users experienced?
I can't say i ever read anything about a pink screen on the nexus, only the pink camera.
Hmm, then I wonder if it was just with the T-mobile UK handsets. I really hope that the SIM unlocked ones do not have the pinkish tint. We shall see in the next week or so
people who got their unlocked devices from CPW or mobiles.co.uk also have this issue.... perhaps its the first batch that is faulty or software has bugs
I would much prefer a slight pink tint that so far only a few people have complained about in a single application, compared to dull colours, poor visibilty in sunlight and poor representation of blacks.
I can't say i ever read anything about a pink screen on the nexus, only the pink camera.
And this is why you should upgrade.
If people waited for perfection, they'd never buy anything. I for one can live with that particular flaw of the amoled, if others cant, then they should wait for something new to come out.... with its own set of flaws.
its not a big issue, .. (i dont know how many times i have to mention this ) and yes, Nexus one has reported such cases (check the N1 forum, you will find some)Great Now I am starting to wonder whether or not I should cancel my order with Handtec. Is this pinkish tint something that the Nexus One users experienced?
exactly, as i said, in most cases, its not even noticeableNone of the reviewers have mentioned this, I have read 3 reviews and none have said anything about it.
I HATE the screen on my blackstone when watching videos on it since the black's are very poorly represented. This will be evident on Hero's, HD2's etc etc etc. I would much prefer a slight pink tint that so far only a few people have complained about in a single application, compared to dull colours, poor visibilty in sunlight and poor representation of blacks. That's a bigger list of downsides compares to a slight pink hue on the gmail app....
I don't see why people would cancel their order. Every phone as previously said will have their issues. No phone will ever be perfect. This phone has been rated by reviewers as one of the best phones on the market right now.
haha, AMOLED screens are a billion times worse then normal phone screens in sunlight - you can hardly see a thing.
I think everyone in the world who have htc AMOLED screen suffers a slight pink tint on the Gmail application, ... I think that is due to the AMOLED and there is nothing can be done about it, .... BUT i saw some people complaining about alot more, and not only a slight pink, a strong pink, ... so that is a problem of the device and you should ask for another device!!
Can anybody give me hint, which phone display works fine in sunlight conditions? Because the screens of all my phones were hardly legible in direct sunlight.
In other words: The whole discussion about screens not working so well in bright sunlight is rather pointless.
2 days? ... check this guy out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghRFtDD4t9M
