I made the build prop edits and removed the existing audio mod (awesome beatz) from Jellbam 4.1.0 and then flashed this mod per instructions. I opened google play music and went to equalizer, and it says "unfortunately music fx has stopped" what did I do wrong?

Ah yeah, this is what I want from the audio in my phone. This mod is fantastic! Running ViperXL 3.1. The mod, the Beatz settings, and having the stock Beats effects enabled makes my music sound great. I dare say better than on HatkaXL with the ac!d audio . If you love music, flash this mod.

I just flashed the zip on Viper 3.1 and I have the BeatZ equalizer in my app drawer, but whenever I try to tweak the settings, it doesn't change the audio at all. Anything I'm missing?

It was working for me, but since, it has stopped. Also on Viper 3.1. Any suggestions?

Azn: was on your ROM but camera was a deal breaker. Will definitely revisit once that gets sorted. Was sad but surprised when I moved to Viper but once I saw your mod: best + worlds x 2

All else, keep Dre's Beats enabled with Azn's BeatZ. Makes all the difference.

I'm on on Viper as well. I must say, very nice mod! You can definitely tell the difference. I leave beats on as it is the pefect combination.

Without it and Beats alone, the bass wasn't deep enough and everything else was just to loud. Now, the bass is incredible, and each song is so crisp.

Ahhh snap scratch 3.0.1, I finally made the files executable. Now you can finally use Sox...that is if you know how to...lol. Sorry for the double post. :/

Music sounds great on viperxl 3.1.0! loud as fk! the only thing im not digging is the stupid bass limit HTC included in Sense's Beats Audio enhancer that affects other players like Poweramp, but thats HTC's fault.... still, great mod!

Try going into your build.prop and look for lpa decode true
Change to false reboot and try it

So in the options, is Speaker considered the speaker on the back and the ear piece?

I did as instructed changed the lpa.decode from true to false added the other entry and installed 3.0.2, wiping caches before and after but haven't noticed anything for in call volume. I have boosted some of the settings and will try again but am I doing something wrong.

I am on the ViperXL 3.1 rom with stock everything regarding the OS.

    FAQ - README FIRST!
    What is KingBeatZ?

    It was formally known as PacKing BeatZ which was based on PACman rom.


    What is KingBeatZ Audio?

    Audio files and APPS compiled by me directly from my rom minus a few prebuilt from leak Sense JB.
    In short, it's made to work. No bs.


    What's the difference between this and the other KingBeatZ?


    This is fully built from sauce with PACman as its base but with many modifications
    . Basically it supersedes it.

    Quick Guide

    LPA aka low power audio reduces the audio quality for power consumption.

    For some phones, inserting that line might cause issue. Like I said, this is experimental. It haven't been tested that many times.

    For the phones that I have tested it on S3, N7, HOXL, and SR it works perfectly fine. (I'm not talking about the line "lpa.decode=false.")

    For now here are the results

    Verizon CDMA Nexus
    DO NOT ADD "lpa.decode=false"
    Add "af.resampler.quality=34"

    Nexus 7

    Added "lpa.decode=false" and "af.resampler.quality=34"

    S2SR - Stock JB Leak/AOSP
    Change "lpa.decode=true" to "lpa.decode=false"
    Added "af.resampler.quality=34"

    S3
    Change "lpa.decode=true" to "lpa.decode=false"
    Added "af.resampler.quality=34"

    Media Players
    Due to the nature of BeatZ, this will not work on certain players
    However, it will work on the following

    Apollo
    Google Music
    Spotify
    Rocket Player
    (Highly recommend if the above is not preferred)


    Instructions

    How do I get this to work you say?


    DONT HAVE ANY OTHER AUDIO MODS!!!

    LOOK INTO YOUR BUILD.PROP AND FIND THE LINE "lpa.decode=true" change it to "lpa.decode=false"
    ADD THIS LINE 'af.resampler.quality=34" if it has 255 change that ****.

    Why? I'll tell you why... It doesn't work. It might say forcing blah blah to 255 but in reality doesn't do ****.

    Now after you have done the following.

    Download if you haven't downloaded already the mod.

    Reboot to recovery wipe cache and dalvik

    Flash mod

    Wipe Cache and dalvik

    Reboot and enjoy

    Audio Tips

    Have fun with them, BUT DO NOT HAVE VOLUME at MAX if it's your first time with this mod.
    Be very careful with compression - it can be your best friend or worst enemy
    Virtualizer is quite useless
    For equalizer - I use Unique

    What is SoX?
