To anybody that want their wallpaper to fit correctly Use a app call simple image wallpaper. Its a live wallpaper that fits your wallpaper exactly the way it looks in the wallpaper app. Just download the wallpaper to your gallery and then use simple wallpaper and pick the background you just downloaded. The only downside is. the wallpaper doesn't move while scrolling. I'm using the free one so maybe that's the reason. Great app

Its a great app for wallpapers , it's the only thing I use, perfect every time, got a 4k wallpaper and it looks amazing.

This may be a stupid question I noticed there's superuser section in system settings. I use supersu. Is this doubling up on apps and should I delete supersu?

There's no superuser app icon is the app drawer and was wondering if superuser was built into the rom

Is the bug where the ROM loses time solved in this version ?

Also' I'm trying to make my navigation bar transparent. I go into apps and launcher select the transparent color.....but there is no okay button? The only buttons I can click are the back, home, windows button? So how do I go about it?

Also last question.....does chrome still lock the device up? In the 2.99 I'm on now it does, so I've had to delete it to stop me using it.

To set the navbar to transparent just switch the orientation to portrait and you will see all the options.

I was beginning to think I was the only one with this problem. I upgraded to the March 8th build just a couple of days back and haven't come across any time loss. Will have to wait for a few more days before I can say conclusively whether the problem appears to have been solved.

Time loss? Could someone elaborate on that "bug"

Once in a few days I'd notice that the time that my Nexus 10 was showing was behind what it what it was actually supposed to be. I would then manually have to set it to the correct value.

I don't use network updated time because it's proven to be unreliable in the past. I've never let it go completely out of charge and turned off so that the internal clock would stop updating. My tablet remains powered on most of the time anyways.

I only get it once every couple of weeks. I'll look and suddenly its dropped 20 mins behind. But, it's obviously something that does it I just have not found the trigger.

Re: [ROM - AOSPA - 4.2.2] PARANOIDANDROID 3.10 [Nexus 10] 08-MAR-2013

so I was reading up that a recent patch to the 4.2.2 causes the system to reserve more memory (resulting in another loss of 400mb) is there a way to reverse this?

Why would you want to? Its reserved for the GPU to help with our resolution. Making everything smoother.

I would want to because my main use isn't always "omfg lookie how smooth *drool*". I would like my apps not to crash half the time. I'm not saying make the ROM that way, I'm just wanting to know if it can be reversed easily by a command or kernel mod for my own use.

PS, this is causing tabs to fail to load in chrome, Bluetooth processes to restart as well(notably with tablet talk) these can be remidied by using "dont keep activities" for a bit but then apps like xda crash and misbehave. of course this could be just me on clean installs.

This might be a problem for you and your ROM/kernel/apps setup. I never run out of ram to the point where anything crashes. The point of the ram to the GPU isn't for a drool factor its to simply make the tablet perform better to be able to push around all the pixels properly. If you want a tablet that's choppy and doesn't use its hardware properly return this and go buy an off brand and save yourself some money

while I don't have any of the issues darkness has, i am interested in knowing the same thing ;although I don't see it really making a difference in the long run as 3 builds from now it'll be status quo (reformatting/realocating the additional 400mb). at that point you'd be stuck right here or give in/make it work and inevitably update if you want future development.

understandably, but I chose my words specifically. I asked easily because I'm aware of the update life, as well as programming period. they could be planning to re organize a few things that fixes it, but until then, I have to hope services respawn and I stay on top of chromes tabs.

is there a way to set PIE gravity to enable pie from left AND from rigth edge?

not anymore. kinda redundant actually. you might like setting an edge as a launcher bar(sidebar and glovebox style apps).

    ParanoidAndroid for AOSP 4.2.2

    Work in Progress
    • Please make sure you have backups for anything you don't want to lose.
    • Caution is advised. No promises this will not eat your device and take over your home.
    • Google apps are not official, this is a community hack, we have tested all apps but you could still encounter issues.
    • This is a preview of what is to come. we are working hard to tame 4.2, which brought significant changes and bugs.
    • Do not ask about CyanogenMod features. We will add more features as we develop version 3.x, and we have a 100% stable base.
    • If you have an issue please make sure it is repeatable, capture logcat/dmesg, etc and post to pastebin or similar.

    Installation
    • Update your recovery to the latest version. Pre 4.2 recoveries can mess up your sd card/storage. We recommend TWRP.
    • Download pa google apps: http://d-h.st/Do8 Updated 15-JUL-2013
    • Download rom: http://d-h.st/7GF Updated 19-JUL-2013
    • Follow PA on Google+ for changes and other info
    • Perform a factory reset in recovery, unless you are already on PA 2.99+
    • Flash ROM first, then gapps
    • Wipe dalvik & cache
    • Reboot and wait, first bootup can take a little time
    • Enter your Google account info, press home when you encounter the black screen
    • Please do not restore system apps, system data and Google apps. This can cause bootloops and other problems due to mismatches coming from CM to AOSP and moving from Android version 4.1.2 to 4.2

    Features
    • Hybrid engine ported, Per App DPI and Per App Layout
    • Tablet UI back from the dead
    • Per app color
    • Quicksettings -> Quicktoggles (first draft, more to follow)
    • New recents implementation
    • We fixed the aosp lag in the recents view, well, most of it
    • New SystemUI Icons that can cope with transparent bars, thanks go to John Xionidis
    • See through Lockscreen is back
    • Transparent bars + Launcher2 modified to cope with it
    • 4.2 Walls and Sounds
    • Google stock apps
    • Extended Desktop

    untitled-19kkgo.png

    PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT
This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.

    untitled-1jij2c.png

    PER-APP-COLOR
ParanoidAndroid's newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

Been out for a bit and unable to build. Back now and will have an update out Sunday, barring unforeseen issues.

For those who don't know me, i'm part from PA team, I come here to Tablet community because I have excelent news. I have managed to fix theme chooser on "PA tabui" (old jellybean tabui), now we dont need to use hacks or whatever, and we have full instant theme chooser support. Paul ported quicksettings, and I also forward ported a lot of the fixes wich make tablet ui experience muuuuch better (lag fixes, freeze fixes, out of bound fixes, hw acceleration, etc). What can I say, now tabletui is epic nice again :D

    small breakthrough today,

    screenshot_2012-11-296mo45.png

took me some while but finally its working. quicktoggles portedto tabUI.
needs still some style refinements but im happy it works, some devs i have talked to even called it "impossible" before -
considering google has not only killed the UI, they have tied the toggles closesly to the phonestatusbar.
this was the most glaring issue - now we can put back all the tabUI changes we have made to stablize googles awful honeycomb code.

    btw,
we need your support! without pa there would be no tabUI for 4.2, and even if the other teams hack it, it will never reach our level because we studied it half a year now, our code ran better than anything google has ever done with. what you see right now is raw tabUI as it comes, its missing most of our patches and additions that we made in the past. please, if you can, help jon. nexus10 is such an important plattform for our work. the pledge is on your g+ channel, second post right now.
