Got it using this:
if you are still getting the stock recovery 3e follow these steps :

1. When flashing CWM through odin untick the "Auto Reboot" option within Odin.
2. Flash CWM.
3. When done , press power & volume up ( the one apart from power button ) until the Samsung logo appears, then leave both buttons.
4. CWM will appear.
5. Choose "Reboot System now "
6. You will get a new screen with an option mentioning something like " disable flash recovery" , press it & reboot.
7. Now if you get back to pressing power & volume up you will have a permanent CWM.

Then you can install root through CWM.

Interesting. I never got the "disable flash recovery" thing. I can still get into CWM with PWR+Vol up. Should I re flash and try again or is it ok?

Thanks!

Its fine....

This Recovery is Unofficial because i have modded it ... officiall it is first if Koush make his own Recovery!

The N8020 is no more beta and works on a few Devices allready fine!! thats good :good:

Ok cool! So I guess just have to make do without the 'Wipe Battery Stats' right?
Its okay. I'll just turn off/reboot my device upon reaching 100%. It works that way too. :good:

No battery stats does not wipe itself .
It has nothing to do with battery calibration as battery recalibrates itself and is a false assumption that wiping it gives better battery life .

Re: [RECOVERY][RootGuide][ALL NOTE 10.1]Darkman_RS Unofficial CWM Recovery Touch 6.0.

Thanks a lot for the hard work you put into this project. Somehow it doesn't want to install cm10.1 on my N8010. It gives me an error build missmatch 8013

I installed your CWM Recovery and all options work great. I have noticed one thing though, if I leave it sitting on the main menu for more than a couple of minutes the Note reboots and goes back to recovery. It will do this until I select the - reboot system now option to get back to the rom.

Is this something anyone else has noticed?

Update: Tried the ODIN version as well CWM zip version and they both restart them selves after around 40 to 50 seconds. Used Odin to put HighOnAndroid CWM back on and no restart.

WOW! I flashed the wrong one, I flashed the N8000, should have done the N8020
