for google now fcing, try the following from the evo lte forum

<+EPayne123> Okay then go ahead and clear data and cache for Google Search and... hang on
<+EPayne123> Search Applications Provider
<+EPayne123> Then without opening Now or Search reboot
<+EPayne123> Clear Data and Cache in Search Applications Provider
<+EPayne123> Touch Sounds HAVE to be enabled for Now to work at all and Screen Lock Sounds have to be enabled also IF u want Now to work from Lockscreen

I don't mean to be rude but....

If ICS doesn''t have working 4G on the EVO
then I don't think a newer software version/type will. /logic
