I had one of those before and i rooted foloing these steps

http://www.4shared.com/rar/UAfQldwH/Android_SDK.html
1- Download the link above.
2- extract android sdk folder to c:\. And take the recovery.img file out of the folder and also put it in c:\.
3- open a command prompt (open with admin if using windows
vista/7)
4- navigate to your android sdk folder
5- put your phone in android bootloader interface by turning it on
and IMMEDIATELY PRESSING VOLUME DOWN AND MENU
TOGETHER UNTIL PHONE LOOKS FROZEN.
6- plug your phone into your pc, driver can be found in the
android sdk folder
7- in your command prompt enter: fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img (do this twice, for some reason it needs
to be done twice to stick)
8- type fastboot reboot
9- now when you turn your phone on in recovery ( turn on while
pressin volume up and menu) you will get the clockworkmod
recovery.
B08 clockwork backup:
http://www.4shared.com/archive/qULzmkkr/2012-03-09045800.html

To root your B08 device:
1- Before you begin, make a backup of your system with
clockworkmod. It's free!
2-:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/bsGwcWTS/Superuser_Installer_XDA.html
Simple root:
The superuser installer brought to you by Bluntman420. Put this
file in your sd card and install it with clockworkmod using the
install zip from sd option. Done!

B08 voltron rom
http://www.4shared.com/zip/_Vdjgi6T/N762_B08_VOLTRON_rev4.html

Added features: - b08 compatibility
- flash player support (sorta)
- full browser instead of mini

as always all optional apps are removable and base system has been kept light. Enjoy! :)

lemyster also made a few roms in backup form:
http://www.4shared.com/rar/xS5uhA3n/BC_420_n762_B08_rev5_Linux.html
http://www.4shared.com/rar/Ye_RBl9I/BC_420_n762_B08_rev5_Ubuntu.html
http://www.4shared.com/rar/rFcvFC3Z/BC_420_n762_B08_rev5_BackTrack.html
http://www.4shared.com/rar/4-krCEgt/BC_420_n762_B08_rev5_Windows7.html
http://www.4shared.com/rar/SlfWcnU8/BC_420_n762_B08_rev5_IPhone.html

all roms and backups are pre rooted unless it is specified that they are stock.

backups are different... to install them you must extract the folder on the rar file to sdcard\clockworkmod\backup\ and then in clockworkmod use the restore option.

that comes frrom here: http://nolochemical.kodemind.com/rooting-zte-n762

and everything was posible thanks to smartmanvartan r.

good luck.

MD5 mismatch

B08 clockworkmod worked fine and so did SU install on B10 device. But when trying to flash custom firmware I get :"checking MD5 sums...MD5 mismatch!". Android boots fine, is rooted and was able to uninstall unwanted system apps. Thanks again to everyone here at XDA that makes flashing pleasant and relaxing :victory:

ZTE N860 Public Mobile (Montréal)

Could that work with my ZTE N860 ?
Here's my phone specs:

ZTE N860
PMI_N860
2.6.35.7-perf+
zte-kernel@Zdroid-SMT
GB_PMI_N860V1.0.0B08

I could not find anywhere how to do it.. I tried using the same way as the N762 but I does'nt seem to be able to acces the Bootloader Interface.
When trying to access it the screen goes black with a white box where u can read FTM.

If I leave it there and plug the usb to my laptop and then run the FASTBOOT FLASH RECOVERY C:\RECOVERY.IMG is says waiting for device... nothing else happen... What do I miss ? I am pretty noob to rooting .. I already suceed but years ago with a motorola Backflip form Telus but now everything seem different with Public Mobile.. Anyway if anyone could help me I would be so thankfull

Thank in advance :D

What Drivers? Where?

:)Where do I place the supplied drivers that come with Android sdk? Do I leave them in the folder? Do I put them in Win32?

A little more clarity would be usefull.

thanks in advance!

N762 still kickin

Hey smartmanvartan, I have been fooling around on my moms ZTE lately and I was wondering if you still had any of those lightweight roms lying around somewhere. Most of the links I have found are dead. I was able to root it with your clockworkmod recovery.img and tried the b08 rom and everything went haywire after it updated a few apps. It ended up softbricking until I found another live link for a b10 unroot and stock install on the android forums. I was wondering if you would have anything available, thanks in advance.
