I use sultan kernel but i dont know what it does

And whats the best setting between 128kb, 1024kb or 2048kb

Read ahead buffer size in simple language help the device to read SD card faster the best setting is 2048 .

I realized that there is no APN or any mobile network settings.
I can turn on mobile network, but there is no connection, it says: "Connection failed due to incorrect APN setting"

How can I change/add APN settings ?

Mobile operater must give me APN settings, but in this ViperS ROM there isn't any APN settings that I could change.
They are hidden I suppose.

I remember that they were there in settings in stock Gigerbread.
Can I ask someone from your Viper dev-team ?

Team venom is currently working on to port jelly bean on the sensation device maybe they will release it next month

phone won't boot

hi
today i got a big problem plz help
i decide change my KERNEL form venom hub so i download one of them and installed through 4xt recovery
after installing my phone wont boot and hanging in HTC simboly

i try reinstalling older KERNEL that was Bricked then i flash it but no hope
again by your tutorial step by step i reinstall whole viper rom but unsuccessful
i'm s-on using 4xt recovery

try these steps
1. flash http://xdaforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1655296&d=1358508825
2.full wipe the phone from recovery {system/boot/......etc
3.install viper rom {select full wipe from there as well} endble smart flash
4.do not do any Uv OR overclocking {stay stock}
5 boot and see

i follow all your step but my phone suddenly restarted in htc symbol and won't let boot

so sorry but any other solution ?

then i think that its a problem of hoot or something very case sensitive try to ask for help on some htc recovery or hoot thread hope they find a suitable solution

Team Venom has released v 3.0 and it is with jelly bean 4.1.1. Just search for it.

What really bugs me about ICS roms is everytime I go through the installation to remove certain blotware it never does it, it maybe removed a few of them but the majority of the bloatware is always there, that really annoys the heck out of me. Nice guide though, nothing wrong with it just sharing my opinion about it in general maybe you can tell me if I'm not doing something correctly

1.4EXT Recovery link and if you are S-ON then enable smartflash berfore flashing
2.Firmware 3.33 Universal link (RADIO included)
3.ViperS Rom link (RIL included in the ROM)
4. Put the downloaded ROM on the root of the SD card and a brain

STEPS
1.Boot into Recovery
2.Make a Nandroid backup
3.Wipe data/factory reset
4.Wipe Dalvik & Cache
[enable smart-flash before flashing] FOR S-ON users ONLY
5.Flash ROM [VIPER ROM]
6.done

kernel is included in the ROM and if u want u can flash your own kernels
