if anyone can help me i really appreciate it. i am using Preview 5 fresh installation, everything is fine expect one thing which annoying. when i connect WiFi it says weak signal, i had to un-check avoid poor connection to be able to connect (connected but 0 bar WiFi Signal) and i am the router is like 4 feet away from me however when i go far away from router WiFi signal increases (Full WiFi Signal). Anyone experienced the same??

#2 Wifi 5Ghz regdomain - this one i have a personal stake in. The way AOSP/AOKP/CM do it right now is wrong. For 5Ghz to work properly for everyone right now is to set up the regulatory domain on wifi bringup. That means you a script needs to set something aking to `iw reg set COUNTRYCODE` which can be obtained by getprop. Alternatively you can load cfg80211.ko with a parameter. Also, in linux fasion there's a binary that gets called by the wifi driver called crda, which looks up what the settings are in regulator.bin.

Why all this? Because different countries use different frequencies (channels) for 5Ghz. This is why the users here say that on Sense their 5Ghz networks are visible, but in CM they're not - right now the driver is set to REGDOMAIN 00, and permits them only a small amount of channels (which is wrong for USA anyway, and for Europe it missess a bunch of channels).

I see you compiled cfg80211 into the kernel, and iw is missing from the build, so i can't even see if manually changing it works (it doesn't in AOKP). As long as you're compiling wlan12xx by hand, can you look into it? You don't need to have a 5Ghz AP to test, just iw reg get should match this table http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#5.C2.A0GHz_.28802.11a.2Fh.2Fj.2Fn.29

2) there's a problem - at least on CM9 (AOSP/AOKP), iw reg set does nothing. Nor does cfg80211 parameter. It is just broken (in driver/firmware? - best guess). I just changed my channel to the world regulatory to work around it, but a proper fix is needed.

I think the only way to get this is to use nova launcher prime and set it up as a short cut w/ the launcher.

There's no way I know of to do this while in another app. So you would have to be in the homescreen to get it to work

P5 with current boot.img, still seeing excessive drain when connected to wifi (I assume the rxwake issue). Temp solution is just switching off wifi when i don't need it.

Deep sleep is <50% when wifi on, haven't got reliable stats with wifi off but it's definitely better (now up to 60% deep sleep on a combined wifi/3g run).

Just loaded Preview 5 up, and it is running really well. Great job! I was saddened to see that the Custom Automatic Backlight settings haven't made it in, but that isn't on you and we will just need to wait for CM to port that over.

The one issue I have run into so far is the Movie Studio app doesn't seem to work. I try to create a new project and it will either ask for the project name again or just end the program. I was going to get a logcat, but it seems like catlog doesn't wanna play, so I will have to try to use another app later on.

Just wondering if anyone else has an issue with Movie Studio or if this is just something with my phone (did a full wipe including system, but restored a lot through Titanium Backup minus system related things... and I did wipe cache for the app, but data was non-existent)? I am trying to merge two videos together that I recorded with my phone, and I was planning on doing this in CM9, but never got around to it (so I am not sure it was working there either). I'll try to get a logcat tomorrow unless it is working for others. Then I will probably do a full wipe with a partial restore.

But this is an awesome ROM and is working very well. Kudos to everyone involved with the project.

Alright so i just gave Trip's P4 a shot. No echo when calling from my land line. Super echo when i call from the other cell phone.

So i think this is mostly because of some network issue or because network setting differences in different countries. Just a blind guess.

Lets hope someone fixes this :(

    Working with Senior CyanogenMod team members, we have set the official nightlies on track.
    arcee (Ricardo Cerqueira) merged in the ics compatibility codes to cm10 repositories, and thus cm10 endeavoru is now working fully with audio and camera.

    gorbi16 is maintainer of endeavoru device/kernel tree, tbalden is one of the maintainers of official htc-doubleshot cm9 device / kernel tree and as such member of TeamDS, and started to hack for HTC One X (endeavoru) as well. Most of you will/might know who mdeejay is, a long-time developer on xda and rootz, who now owns a HOX device too and decided to hack cm9/cm10/cm10.1 for this device as well. gorbi is a long time android hacker who joined the team while we were hacking CM10. Now he's spinning pure JB builds with new kernel so we can test it and merge his stuff soon.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    - First time flashing CM 10/10.1 to your HOX (or coming from another ROM)?
    1. Unlock your device and install Clockwork Recovery
    2. Do a Nandroid backup!
    3. WIPE
    4. Install the ROM
    5. Optionally install the Google Addon
    6. Download boot.img as well,
    7. boot into boot loader (adb reboot bootloader). Use fastboot and ‘fastboot flash boot boot.img’ through usb to have the correct kernel/boot image. Otherwise it won’t work/boot.
    8. 'fastboot erase cache' is recommended if you have booting issues



    HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
    - Was your problem a hard reboot? Get us the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
    - Was your problem a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get the full output.
    - Pastebin links preferred.

    - (in cm10) WiFi direct doesnt work, so disabled in rom - (in cm10.1 wifi direct works)
    - MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (but workaround added since alpha 8 for hw decoded videos/youtube. Use bsplayer from playstore, almost all videos play with it in correct rotation in hwoverlay)
    - No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!)
    - Some paid apps loses settings/acconts due to this android jellybean problem: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34880 Solution is to backup with Titanium Backup and restore to internal memory, not to sd
    - You tell

    If sometimes the build system produces broken packages to mirrors accidentally,then use the previous day's nightly. Computers can derp, so you can expect that too. Like 168mb installer is 9.7mb if you download it...check previous day then.

    THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CYANOGENMOD RELEASE! I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE!

    With that said. I have authorization from @gorbi16 to release this for testing. And so far I think it is usable as a daily driver.

    Installation

    1. Make a nandroid backup
    2. Wipe /system
    3. Flash the ROM
    4. Flash 4.3 gapps
    5. fastboot flash the included boot.img
    No need for a full wipe. But it is always recommended if you encounter any problems.

    Known Issues
    • Task switcher window contents are black (fixed in #2)
    • Screenshot function does not work (fixed in #2)
    • Occasional graphic glitches (reduced in preview #2)
    • Focal has some problems (but stock camera should work)
    • MHL still doesn't work
    • root sometimes not working when set to "only Apps" (more info needed)
      • People report that setting root access to "Apps and ADB" works
      • Also see posts #14482, #14490 and #14491
    • Screen of animation flickers
    • Proximity sensor issues (screen stays black during call)
    • A2DP Bluetooth issues (stuttering sound and stream switching not possible)

    FAQ
    • Can I dirty flash coming from CM 10.1?
      • No, you should wipe your /system partition but you can keep /data.
    • Can I dirty flash coming from a CM 10.2 preview build?
      • Yes (so far). But keep an eye on the changelog to see if there are boot.img changes.
    • Where is the Superuser App?
      • The Superuser App is now part of CM. You can find it in the Setting under the System category. Make sure you enable root access for Apps in the Superuser settings. In case you can't find it enable the "Developer options" by tapping "Build number 7" in "About phone" 7 times and enable root access there.

    - LP1 0.95V CoreV - should give better battery life when phone is using the low power core, so when you keep it standby (thx TripNRaveR)

    So basically props go to TripNRaveR, i've skimmed through the custom kernel repositories and gathered those patches of Trip that were used widely, and looked useful and safe, and not deviating too much from HTC's original kernel.
