Loaded on my 6800. Just an fyi, it booted into the 160 density because there's a line that wasn't changed in the build.prop file. Also, my boot animation wasn't the nexus/jellybean one, it's some blue sparkling triangles.

My install on top of CM10 ( only wiping caches ) was perfect - no FC and no system UI FC issues. I have to change the LCD density manually to 213 in build.prop file to have the display similar to phone ( Nexus look )

Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks to songmeesay's answer I figured out i forgot to remove the first 160dpi line in build.prop of the last build
Next build should work properly, hopefully.

About 15min left for the upload of new P6810 version. The P6800 will come after I get a feedback on whether the P6810 works or not.

EDIT : New P6810 build now released, link in the OP

Question to all, why is everyone looking to have the 7.7 behave as the Nexus 7. I tried CM10 with the build.prop from Nexus 7 and it just did not look right in landscape (we all know the Nexus 7 is meant for portrait mainly) just wondering why people want this?

Yep, its just change for me. Always used my 10" tablets in landscape but I'm really liking portrait for this and the nexus 7.

I remember an episode from big bang theory, when penny asks the guys why are you trying to control your lamps and stereo by public network access, and not by a universal remote, and they answer all together : "because we can"

I think having a phablet ui on 7.7 could be a good and useful experience. and as androguide mentioned, porting this rom could lead to the ideal way of this experience which is paranoidandroid roms.specially having individual option for each app. this is the reason for me

beside that, trying new things is interesting and fun! that could be the best reason itself ;)

ps: I tried flashing over cm10 without wiping and only cache wiping. no success... better waiting for new p6800 version.

Installed fine and running great,
so issues at all so far,

To get chrome to work does it need to be side loaded??

Thanks for the feedback, i'm getting back to work on P6800 then.
For Chrome, just reinstalling through the market should work.

Would you care doing a few screenshots and pm them to me please ? To add to the OP.
Like one screenshot with notification bar down, one with home screen, one with app drawer opened & one with the build infos visible. That'd be really kind.

Any other tweaks in 1.2 that's not in 1.0? Just want to know if I should flash or stay since 1.0 is fine on my 6800.

If the first build works fine for you then you should keep it.
I removed a lot of build.prop tweaks in this new build as well as the gapps and nexus7 ui sounds and animations. I wanted to make sure there is no fc's in that one.
I will be making another build tomorrow to add all those things I took off and maybe add a few extras.

If anyone has ideas of what is missing , or of what you'd want to see added in this rom, please tell me.

Here are the screenshots from my 6810. Running nicely, no more system ui fc.

Edit: A cool feature would be the crt-off animation!

Just installed on GT-P6810.
This ROM flies!

Very smooth.
Did wipe data/reset from CWM
then wipe dalvik Cache.
then install zip.

Didn't need to fix the wifi. Worked straight first time.

Now installing gapps.

Initial reaction... Sowheat!! :good:

This rom will turn your Galaxy Tab 7.7 into a Nexus7 with a 7.7" Super Amoled screen
It's based on locerra's latest cm10 build, kudos to him.

    nexus77playground.jpg

    What's in the rom ?

    - Nexus 7 Phablet UI layout
    - Beats-Audio modified DSP Manager for a greater sound experience.
    - init.d tweak scripts : better responsiveness, faster sdcard, faster sqlite3 database write, TCP buffers tweak, lagfix, more to come next time.
    - Included the -=V6 SuperCharger Script=- more informations and instructions on how to run below.
    - Patched services.jar file to reduce redraws and increase overall smoothness.
    - Some Thunderbolt's cfs and touchscreen tweaks
    - Slaidy-Boost tweak scripts
    - Zipalign at each boot
    - A lot of build.prop tweaks, I will make a list of them and their effects soon.
    - Busybox v1.19.4
    - Optimized su binary to work best with the V6 SuperCharger Script
    - Absolutely zero bloatware (except Trebuchet), as close to vanilla experience as possible (can make a flashable add-on for apollo if needed)
    - Nexus 7 stock apps by google (Magazines, books, music, chrome, ears, maps, etc...)
    - Homemade bootanimation
    - Nexus 7 stock launcher
    - Nexus 7 ui sounds and animations (not sure if they really differ from cm10)
    - More to come...

    How to install ?

If you are running stock firmware and want to flash this rom, please do the following to avoid the risk of BRICK

    - DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING
    - Flash this rom in cwm
    - Reboot recovery
    - Wipe /data (factory reset) , cache and dalvik cache
    - Flash this rom in cwm again
    - Flash the gapps in cwm
    - Reboot and enjoy

If coming from cm9, i'd recommend you wipe data in cwm first, before doing the following.
If coming from locerra's cm10 then just do the following :

    - Wipe Cache
    - Wipe Dalvik cache
    - Flash the rom (cwm)
    - Flash the gapps (cwm)
    - Reboot and enjoy !

How to run the -=V6 SuperCharger Script=- ?

Zeppelinrox - the author of this script - doesn't allow any other sort of redistribution of his script other than as it is.
Thus, I cannot provide you with an already "SuperCharged" build of Nexus 7.7 ; you'll have to run the script by yourself.

Do not worry it is really easy to do, just follow the instructions :

    Easy way :

    - Download Script Manager from the market
    - Go to /system/xbin/ and load supercharger in Script Manager
    - Run the script as root (skull and crossbones "Su" icon - it turns green when selected)
    - follow the on-screen instructions and choose the options you like.

    OR

    Fast way :

    - open Terminal Emulator app
    - type the following (each end of line means you have to hit enter) :
    Code:
    su
    cd /system/xbin
    sh supercharger
    - Then follow the on-screen instructions and choose the options you want

    Disclaimer
I cannot be held responsible for any damage of any kind made to your device while flashing this rom.
Always be careful when flashing, always think twice, and always read other users feedback before flashing.
This rom is experimental and I currently have no tab to work on, my P6810 is being repaired. I've not even tried this rom yet :crying:
So please understand that I really do this work for the community, and that not having a tab to test on can be very annoying when making roms.

Ok guys, new builds for both models are uploading right now.

I'd need two testers, one for P6800, one for P6810, in order to make sure the builds work before releasing.
Please pm me with your model and your gtalk (if you have one) asap if you are willing to be an alpha-tester.
Will release tonight after testing has been done. (gmt+1 brussels time)

    Here's the (temporary ?) changelog for v1.3 :

    - init.d tweak scripts for : better responsiveness, faster sdcard, less lagg, zipalign each boot, faster sqlite3 database write...
    - Patched services.jar for reduction of redraws and a smoother experience
    - Added the -=V6 SuperCharger Script=- that should make your tab fly. You'll have to run it manually once though, instructions coming in OP.
    - Added Thunderbolt scripts (mainly cfs tweaks)
    - New homemade bootanimation
    - A lot of new build.prop tweaks, will make a list soon.
    - Removed Chrome temporarily as it didn't work out-of-the-box
    - Added stock Nexus 7 launcher (in addition to Trebuchet)

    Paranoid android

I believe some of you might be happy to know that a (mostly) working Paranoid Android port for Galaxy Tab 7.7 is uploading right now !

P6810 users will be the first to be served, but P6800 will come just a few hours after that, the time for upload and a last safety testing.

Thanks to Faridaizuddin and Isherif, two dedicated testers without whom this wouldn't have been possible. And of course mad props to Locerra without whom even only JB on Galaxy Tab 7.7 wouldn't have been possible ! Check the Development forum for the new thread, and enjoy :D

EDIT : The thread is up and so is the P6810 download link, enjoy

OK guys, the Paranoid Android porting is going better than I thought. Still lots of bugs but at least it boots.

I guess you can expect a (very) experimental public release within a few days. Stay tuned !

Had some issues with the P6810 build, I apologize for owners of this model, the v1.3 will be available by tomorrow, hopefully.
