Aokp 4.2.2 has it. For 10.2,you tell me. I hear a difference and so do some nexus 4 users. This commit, I found through a n4 thread.

Cheers and keep it up!

Nice. I think I'll test this too.

The modems linked on the first Page are much appreciated, but I see no md5 sums. Is this not a sensitive partition?

Edit: Tried the sept 3 build (thanks time zones!) and camera wasn't connecting to the hardware. I will hop back to an earlier build (where a user reported a working cam) and see if it's just an issue with the build and not something broader.

Edit 2: The link on the first page with the "unofficial" in the names had the non functioning camera, the Sept 1st build linked in the thread seems to be working very well, camera too!

The display has much higher contrast and the colors seem to be heavy on the blue. Things makes some colours look awesome, but others sickly (like the colour scheme in the play store). I think overall I kind of like it though.

The 10.2 builds have been working very well for me, apart from the new cm feature of the lost traditional status bar toggles, top these new ugly icons :p anyone know how top revert?

Just tought i'd let you know we are at a almost working state on cm-10.2. Only issue right now is camera not working. Build are going directly to my server i've linked on first page, you can download at will. Help if you can/want (don't need logcat or kernel log, only help with code). Beside camera this is going as fast as a jet.

The cam was the only thing I noticed on the sept 3rd build, but I use the camera for work, so I couldn't stay on it for back whole day.

I tried the Aug 30 Houstonn test build, camera worked, but I got about 4 reboots in an hour.

Overall though, these builds are extremely polished feeling already!

On my test builds, they are completely different from what is gonna release. The sources we are working on that chad will be releasing are highly optimized up to date sources merged with linux, caf, Google.

As for the reboots I suggest you up your voltages as my kernel included is defaulted with -50mA undervolt.

That could certainly do it, I may flash it again tonight and bumping them closer to stock. I'll look for the newest build and report back what I find. I may choose one with a working cam so that I can run it all day tomorrow. Hopefully that will still give you some useful insight.

Testing your sept 3 build today and tomorrow. Through the day I will use navigation, Bluetooth, camera, WiFi hotspot, plus all the usual stuff quite extensively.

Edit: now only 12.5mv undervolted.

Also, TiBU is easily fixed by preferences>backup folder location and changing the directory to /sdcard0/titaniumbackup...no need to copy files.

Why is it coming up as an emulated device anyway?

Okay, so I was able to run houstonn's sept 3rd build for half the day. Everything was deadly and smooth. I ended up needing wifi tether and it wouldn't start. It just said error.
I would have investigated further, but I was at work and needed it quick, so I just restored a nandroid.

Should I reflash and get a logcat or do you guys know all about it already?

Alright, updated to the Sept 6 build. Everything I can test is working right now. No LTE even flashing Rogers modem, but that could just be the location I'm in.

This rom is so slick and so smooth! You guys are doing an unreal job.

I got a couple of logcats I'd like to record for you guys. However, logcat running in userspace doesn't seem to be working. It just spits out a dozen lines and that's it. I might try logcat over adb if i get a chance later.

I got BT to pair but no in call audio. Let me look into that one first though. I used the Mono Bluetooth Router app first, and I'm not sure if that is the problem. I'm going to clean flash and try again.

My camera couldn't connect to the hardware a few times and had to reboot. Want to isolate the circumstances.

But seriously, this is the smoothest android I've ever experienced and my battery life was sick today. At the end of the work day I was still at 67%!!

So I "dirty flashed" (installed cm/gapps/smoocha on top of 4.2.2 then wiped cache/dalvik) Thursday night, and so far so good. The ROM is crazy smooth and at least on Friday my battery life was awesome.

Only oddity I've encountered, and it's a minor one, is when the phone is booting. I still have the Nexus4 bootloader (so I have the Google logo instead of LG), and after the Google logo the backlight turns off for a few seconds and when it comes back there are 2 [sometimes 3] LG logos on the screen just for a split second. Then I get to the CM bootlogo and it boots normally.

Thanks AGAIN Chad! 10.2 is looking very promising.

Hi, This is a continuation of the CM 10.1 nightlies thread. Things has been moving on and we are now at CM 10.2. I have been working with xboxfanj, houstonn and bbelos to bring you this. Again, this is based on mako with adapted change for optimus G. This time we are even more in sync with CAF (Code Aurora Forum).

    What is working
    Everything.

    What is not working

    You tell me.

Here are the repo needed for our devices :

    https://github.com/TeamPlaceHolder

Of course, you have to be rooted, to have bootloader unlocked and a working recovery to flash this custom rom.

DO NOT FLASH NEXUS 4 KENEL MADE BY 3rd PARTY. THIS WILL MOSTLY PERMA BRICK YOUR DEVICE.

This is simply because people tend to use partition number and not by-name and our partition is different than nexus 4 ones. i.e. The rpm partition on our phone is the boot partition on nexus 4. So flashing a custom kernel will flash a boot.img in your rpm partition and then you are bricked. You have been warned.

Like usually, i can't be hold responsible if you damage your phone during any of the process described in this thread.

    Thanks :

Thracky and houstonn who also works with me on this.

    Download

All the downloads will go here :

    ribs.bbqdroid.org

    Use geeb package

    Gapps package :

    http://goo.im/gapps

    Modem :

There is a newer modem now available (From JB update. Houstonn and I extracted each of them and made flashable so you don't need to do the painful process of kdz only to get a new baseband)

MAKE SURE TO NOT FLASH KOREAN MODEM.

How to intall that rom ?

This require you to have TWRP or CWM already installed on your device. I recommand the former. On our device, this mainly mean you have rooted your phone and unlocked the bootloader.

Apparently, it seems these instruction where not clear enough. So I'll try to make them dumbproof. If you are not following these instruction and it doesnt work, dont expect support. It's like buying a cake mix where you only need to add milk and call the company saying their product is bull****, you added water and only got a brick. To add to this metaphor, Asking if it's because you used CWM instead of twrp or reverse is like saying : Did it didnt work because i used a fork instead of a whip to mix it ?

To flash this rom, you have to be on older Bootloader. You can alternatively flash the bootloader i linked in this thread. Read the post carefully before you flash.

    1. Download file in the download section.
    2. Put the rom AND the gapps on your internal SDCard.
    3. Reboot into recovery.
    4. Flash CM rom.
    5. Flash Gapps package.
    6. DO A FACTORY RESET (EMPHASIS HERE)
    7. reboot into system

Is there ANY WAY you can add to this the changes in faux123's Nexus 4 kernel (see here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/36722-kernellinux-340-makojbuvoctuncifsv001-nov-30/#entry1032460) to reduce the horrible msm_hsic_host wakelock battery drain?

You sir, deserve a punch in the face. Come on. We are not at optimizing things. I'm still trying to figure out what is working or not. This is really stupid.

Note to all other user : I WILL NOT ACCEPT FEATURE BEFORE EVERY PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN SOLVED.

on a related note to your question, if you would have read carefully, you would have seen that i already use faux123 kernel . . .
Anyway, this is not going to be the case soon.
