i have done the steps i installed the root recovery with unticking auto reboot but it want boot in to the recovery menu
if i tick auto reboot on after phone reboots i get the normal adnroid recovery so what can i do ???
i make all like you tutorial
i get now 4 flash counts
and secure: verfifications status unchecked or something like that
after i put out the batterie an but in and press volup home and power it want start it shows me samsung logo with a yellow ! and then it is black thats all
but when i start normal and try then to come in recovery i get the normal one again
Soulution:
Kingo Root works after fresh flash from 4.1.2 officzial Firmware
then i have to flash with odin CMW for WIN Devies after july 2014 manufactory

Ok gentleman, so this is my problem.
When I was using my phone it shutdown by itself and hwne I turned on again, it came as if was fresh from the factory without I doing nothing to it.
I had some important files on it that disappeared together wit apps and everything else.
As I panicked I used a program to try to recover the files but said program asked me to root the phone so could gain acess to the memory card.
As I finished rooting using Kingo ROOT, the program got stuck ona infinite bootloop.
I cant even hard reset the thing ( not sure if Iam pressing the right buttons though) and the phone dont get past the GT-l8552B screen.
There is a way to use the files of this thread to recover control over my phone or it got bricked even if the thing can turn itself on ( in a limited way).
Sorry for the bad english and thank you for any help you guys can give me. :crying:

Reinstall the whole firmware using odin, u can download it frm sammobile

I had to try continuously for three days to get my phone rooted. I have tried all versions of most of the files and got succeeded at last. Thanks for the help.
. Although if I could update my Android to 4.3 instead of 4.1.2 I could have done more wwith my phone. Any ways to do it safely? pls advise.

I have rooted my samsung galaxy grand quattro with cwm recovery 6.0.3.6. Then i installed a Trans-K_Rom of android 4.4.4 to it from the recovery mode of cwm. but after it showed installed and i reboot my phone, it is only starting in recovery mode. i am not able to use it normally. so plz tell me some solution to this.

If you go back to stock after use custom ROM's will be able to use official updates but in binary registers, the changes should be seen on ADB mode
This only thing way, will loose the factory warranty if you will need to repairs
hi, i root a samsung galaxy grand quattro and install CWM . first the phone works fine , then i try to create a backup of current ROM to SD Card by clockworkmod recovery . after complete the backup process i to restart the phone , but it goes to Recovery mode (CWM) . i try to flash some custom Roms , after flash i restart the phone i got Samsung logo and goes to Recovery Mode . please help me to fix it.

I rootedmy phone and some how the phone is stuck in the boot scree where the model number will be displayed. If I try to flash recovery software or the originl firmware from sammobile,ODIN is not updated with the port number, but the after starting there is no change in the status.

Phone vibration stopped working
I successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro with the steps mentioned here.
But after rooting, the phone vibration stopped working.
It vibrates faintly once or twice, but then dies again for the whole day.
I tried using *#0*# to check the vibration.
It vibrated once very slowly, then died. Happens every day. I don't think the vibration motor is dead.
What to do??

My Grand Quattro is now rooted with SuperSU installed. It was all fairly straightforward apart from a couple of minor issues, which you may want to correct in your text above, as follows: Firstly, I found it impossible to access "Download Mode" and "Recovery Mode" by following your precise instructions! Instead, I searched online and found that "Download Mode" can be forced from the phone being switched off, by connecting the USB cable and pressing the Home and Volume-Down keys simultaneously (i.e. there is no need to even touch the power button!). Similarly, "Recovery Mode" can be accessed by pressing the Home and Volume-Up buttons, but WITHOUT the USB cable attached and without touching the power button.
The only other thing that I feel you should make clear is that BEFORE you commence the "rooting" stage, you need to have SuperSU_v1.65.zip file already copied onto the SD Card!! - Maybe you need to include that as Step 1!!
Finally, the reason I needed to root this phone in the first place was so that I can connect pen-drives to the USB port. I have installed your StickMount app, plus a couple of USB Host Checking utilities. All looks good so far, so I have just invested Rs.99 on an OTG cable from Ebay! Whilst I wait for it to arrive, can you see any reason why this isn't going to work?

Guys, I acidentaly pressed reboot recovery and got a bootloop. The problem is, the phone is all wiped and I maybe because i didnt activated usb debuggind on the last rom I initializated Odin can't recognize the phone. Is there any way to flash the CWM again without odin? Fastboot keep waiting for device too.... thanks

CWM RECOVERY v6.0.3.6
Flashing With Odin
Install USB Drivers of your Device and remember an odin flashable file is supposed to be in .tar or .tar.md5 format only.
DOWNLOAD SAMSUNG USB DRIVERS
Lets Begin :-
1. First be sure USB Debugging is checked in ur device ( Settings>Developer Options>USB Debugging )
2. Extract the Odin file from the zip.
3. Open Odin3 (Run As Administrator).
4. Put your device in download mode. To do so, press Volume Down And Home And Power Button all together and when it vibrates release
Power Button but keep pressing left ones. You should have a triangle with an android janitor while it's saying downloading ..
VOL UP TO CONTINUE...
5. Now connect USB to PC ,you should see a blue rectangle with COM:xx and saying Added. It means that your device is ready to be flashed!
6. Go into the PDA section and select your .tar file.(CWM Recovery)
7. Dont check any option (F.reset time and Auto reboot are checked by default) So just uncheck Auto Reboot.
8. Now click Start.
9. When it's finished, it should say that "Res OK" in Odin..
10. Now remove ur USB and remove ur battery and put it back and go to Recovery Mode (Volume UP And Home And Power Button all
together and when it vibrates release Power Button but keep pressing left ones).

installing first time auto reboot shud be unticked
but unfortunately if u got bootloop in cwm
then when u flash CWM next time click auto reboot it wont harm u ,i have written thread after all testing bro :good:2I was going to update as i was busy with my rom
