Could you clarify some aspect about CWM recovery?
I have TF300T with stock ROM 4.2.1 official by Asus.

Which is the latest build of CWM for TF300T?

The title of the thread is CWM 6.0.2.3 / 5.5.0.4.
No info are available about CWM recovery img file on first post. Whoich are the version of CWM image file for Android 4.0) and 4.1/4.2 (JB)?

Could youa dd the instructoin how to update CWM recovery on JB 4.2 offciial stock rom?

Should be better to attach the file as .zip that include .img file (for file security/integrity).

This recovery doesn't work with 4.2 go check out the TWRP recovery. Make sure you get the one for 4.2 or you could get a soft brick

Which is the TWRP version (Android 4.2) on the first post?

Which is the difference between .blob and .img file available in TWRP website that I posted two posts ago?

For Android 4.2 there is one .blob file and one .image file.

What's the differences between the two files and when i have to use .blob file and when .image file?

I'm honestly not completely sure what the difference is between the two. But I used the .blob file only and everything is working great. If the newest version of TWRP isn't working right try going back to TWRP 2.5

I know that this is a major noob issue from my behalf, but is there a NOOB Walk through that I can hold hands and point saying "ohhh that's what they were talking about" guide somewhere to root and install the latest CM or 4.4 rom? Ive been to countless guides that say use a pc, or try these easy steps. I've downloaded countless versions of twrp's, gapps, and factory resets. I don't have an option for USB when I press and hold power and vol down. Only rck, android and wipe data. I'm running the latest boot loader and the device is unlocked (did it on my own,Yay me) but that's about it. Ive tried to watch you tude vids (all lame and always never a good explanation). PLEASE HELP. I'm almost regreeting getting this item and going back to Ifad. PLEASE HELP keep a fellow android'ite I the loop.
I have rooted and unrooted several other android devices in the past (Note 2, Note, HTC Desire HD, and a few older one's)

Stats:
Official Jellybean 4.2.1
Build #: 10.6.1.27.5
Kernal Ver: 3.1.10-g215

PC Stats:
Win 8

Thanks

Problem

My digirizer is not working so I need a recovery in order to root and install the "driver".
I'm on 4.2.1
TWRP is touch based and it can't detect usb mouse. CWM is incompatible with this android version.
What can I do?
thanx

2 themenucha: Maybe you can connect a dockstation and use touchpad with TWRP as if it is a touchscreen.

    Hi everyone!

I'm proud to present CWM recovery for our beloved TF300T !

    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about this recovery
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    Requirements:
    • TF300T :)
    • Fastboot (Included in Android SDK, or Google for a recent version. SDK is the best way to go.)
    • Unlocked bootloader (look on Asus Support Download)

    Step-by-step guide
    1. Download the right CWM version. If you are running official Jelly Bean ASUS rom, you need the Jelly Bean version. Otherwise, take the normal version.
    2. Unlock your bootloader with Asus Unlock app
    3. Connect your tablet to your computer
    4. Shutdown your tablet
    5. Hold Power + Vol Down until a message appears (it doesn't appear anymore on Jelly Bean bootloader) ("Press Vol. Up to enter RCK (5s)") : DON'T PRESS VOL UP
    6. After 5 seconds, a new menu appears (if it's not already there). Press Vol Down once to change to the USB icon, then press Vol. Up to validate (you have to do this in less than 10 seconds, otherwise your tablet will boot Android OS)
    7. At this point, your computer should recognize Fastboot device (Windows will notify you here, OSX/Linux stays calm)
    8. Flash recovery image with fastboot: fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.img (if we suppose recovery.img is in your current directory)
    9. Once the operation is done, type fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot to reboot your tablet

You now have CWM installed. To access it, shutdown your tablet and press Power + Vol Down, then either press Vol Up before the 5s timeout or press Vol Up on the "RCK" icon. After a few seconds, you'll be in CWM interface.

    - Can I backup/restore at anytime?
Yes, you can use all CWM features without any restriction.

    - Can it break something?
Even in case of error during fastboot, only your recovery partition will be broken. You can reflash it as many times as you want via fastboot, and even with a broken recovery partition you can still successfully boot your tablet.

    - Does this bring root?
    See second post.

    - Does it work with any firmware?
    Yes.

    - I wiped everything but didn't put a ROM on my sdcard, what to do?!
Calm down, you're not bricked, you're just a bit dumb. Go in "Install zip from sdcard" until you reach list files, so the sdcard is mounted. Then, open a command prompt, and do "adb push c:\path\to\the\rom.zip /sdcard/". Wait, and once done your rom.zip will appear in the files list when you go back and forth in files list.

After flashing CWM, you might also want root. It's easy, just flash the attached zip :)

    REFLASHING STOCK ROM

At anytime, as long as you have CWM installed, you can flash Asus' official stock ROMs.
Unzip ONCE the ZIP you download from Asus. You should have another zip. Flash this ZIP with CWM.

Really must be missing something obvious ...

Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app

Let's re-do it step by step:

    • Put fastboot.exe and recovery.img in C:\recovery\
    • Open cmd, type "cd c:\recovery"
    • Connect your tablet in fastboot mode
    • type fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.img

There's no reason it wouldn't work

Hi there, updated the first post with a recovery for Jelly Bean bootloader. Also, it does now support external SD, and fixed a few things.

Please DO NOT upgrade to JB bootloader for now, as you'd loose nvflash support.
