Welcome to CM 9.1 SLIM edition!

This is basically CM 9.1 but SLIM and Trimmed down with many extra features removed. Worry not, the core experience remains.

**HOW TO INSTALL**

Flash Stock ICS .54 FW
Let it boot properly
Move CM 9.1 and GApps to Internal SD
Flash boot.img from CM 9.1 ZIP
Boot to CWM (Volume Down button)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache
Flash CM 9.1 ZIP
Flash GApps
Wipe Data/Factory Reset (Again)
Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache (Again)
Reboot
Boot into ROM
Reboot (Important for Media Scanner to work!)

Battery & RAM Tweaking Guide

**Performance Tweaks**

-> DISABLE AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS
-> WIPE CACHE
-> WIPE DALVIK CACHE
-> ENABLE ZRAM (18%)
-> ENABLE PURGING OF ASSETS
-> REBOOT

Also, after installing all the apps you wanted via AROMA:
-> FIX PERMISSIONS via CWM
-> REBOOT

Fixing permissions will make sure there isn't any unwanted FCing.

Charge your Battery to a 100%:
-> WIPE BATTERY STATS
-> REMOVE Charger
-> Use for complete cycle (to nearly 10%)
-> Do not reboot anywhere in between
-> CHARGE to 100% (and give additional 1 hour after that)
-> Enjoy COMPLETE BATTERY CYCLE

This ensures that when your battery shows 5% remaining, it actually is 5% instead of really being 15%. That's why battery calibration is important. It doesn't improve battery life, but gives you your COMPLETE Battery life.

MORE:
- Go to SETTINGS>DEVELOPER OPTIONS
- Force 2D GPU rendering

**RAM Cleaning**

- Do not use task killers
- Freeze/Move to Quarantine those APPS which you DO NOT USE regularly and you don't want them TO RUN IN THE BACKGROUND

Go ahead, try it. Move all unwanted apps to quarantine now!

**DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER**

Your phone sips the least amount of power when it is in DEEP SLEEP STATE. There is a new app in the marketplace which can FORCE DEEP SLEEP STATE on your phone. This is especially useful if you want the phone to conserve battery for hours and then wake up for a minute and sync all new alerts in one go. This can help prolong your usage on a single charge.

**BATTERY CALIBRATION**

FOR THOSE WITH BATTERY PROBLEMS:

1.After flashing your phone with a new ROM, install this software:

BATTERY CALIBRATOR on Play Store - 47 KB size

2.Then, charge your phone to 100%.
3. IMPORTANT. Remove CHARGER first.
4. IMMEDIATELY hit "Battery Calibration" (1 or 2 seconds delay is fine, wait for BATTERY voltage to drop and be stable)
5. Use your phone normally (don't charge in between) till it hits 1%.
6. Then charge your phone UNINTERRUPTED (leave it for charging all night) till 100%.
7. Unplug and start using. You should be having as little as 2-3% battery drain for 6-8 hours of IDLING now. That's the optimization of a calibrated battery.

Great work my friend, but one question:

1. Set a brightness level. Do not use Auto Brightness, it sips more power in turn.

Where is autobrightness on CM, i thought there isnt one?

Well, I will be updating to version 0.2 soon. That was initial hurried release. Next has loads of changes!

Most people don't flash custom ROMs. And out of those who do, most just want to use the flashed custom ROM and live in peace. This ROM is for people who use their phone for

- Browsing
- Whatsapp
- Messaging
- Music & Videos

Based on that, extra features such as Terminal Emulator are absolutely useless. And those people who want Live Wallpapers download their favorites from Play Store anyways. No point bundling years old LWP apps in the ROM as well.

Adding features such as Android 4.2 Jelly Bean keyboard (SWIPE feature) and changing fonts, build.prop tweaks (are they the same for all devices??).

Google Calendar Sync. What causes that to stop working??

Well battery life with DeepSleep Battery Saver Pro is pretty good. Lost 2% in 2 hours of idling, if that counts.

I didn't! I'm trying to find out which one it is!

Meanwhile, anybody using this ROM?

Battery life is excellent. Over 6 hours idling all night I lost 4% battery!
