Hello,

Sorry to necro an old thread, but I'm having one slight issue with the rom. It works fantastic, and I can't believe I waited so long to root/flash a new rom to my phone.

However, when the phone sleeps (Either through hitting the power button, or just letting it go to sleep after 2min), the hardware keys stay lit. Black screen, but dimly lit buttons...

How do I turn that off? I can't find it in the settings anywhere.

Thanks!!

Hi I am having a slight issue I'm using Domination-p999-80.zip and it seems no matter what I do all apps including the home screen... text messages phone calls hang and crash even sometimes reboot the whole phone? this is my first time trying the ICS update I was using CM7 stable for the longest time with the new base-band (because phone calls would drop or no one could hear me/I could hear no one) I know phone calls work and it says H instead of 4G now on ICS but what can I do to help get the hanging issue fixed? it appears everyone else is having a smooth transition ... I'm running WING Mobile P999 Optimus 02X(G2X)
battery life seems ok from what I can tell I've only had it running for less than 24 hours but this hanging it driving me nuts CM7 seemed to work alot more faster.

Just did a fresh wipe and re-installed

and same thing happens on initial setup. after i insert my google information a pop up says - "Unfortunately, Talk has stopped." so this re-install leads me to believe that will not fix my hanging issues :(

I wiped all data and cleared dalivk cache and battery stats. is that right?

As i was worried everything still hanging on default configuration and tweaking's... not to mention over half of my tweaks are not applying like colours and the volume buttons waking the device.

Google Play hangs it ask me to crash it(as many other apps including phone/contact sometimes) as well as settings hangs and when applying a new setting it crashes the current menu so I have to back out and go back in to the menu settings that I am tweaking. As well flash player 11 will not download.

also Pickup/Hangup button on my headset does not work :(

This rom has a lot of issues. I think that there are some earlier versions that are a bit more stable but it's been abandoned for quite a long time.

that's sad news do you have a version you would recommend? the one I am running is from 13 - 07 - 12

or maybe an alternate distribution of ICS or even jellybean if one exist??

I'm just sick of the Gingerbread garbage and I cannot afford a new phone at least not until next year.

There's plenty of options other than this ROM. I first flashed Hellfire Sandwich ICS when I rooted my phone. If that doesn't appeal to you, try either Paranoid Android ICS or JB, MIUI ICS 2.7, Mazout and Adamapk's 4.2.2 ROMS (NO RADIO), Eagles blood ICS or JB, or really any ICS/JB ROM you find in this development forum. Just search around until you find one that appeals to you.

if you do a baseband update it fixes that but make sure your using the most recent version of the rom for the p999 if that is the phone your using it's last update was in 2012 (13 - 07 - 12 July 13 2012 to be exact).... He could have at least patched it before he started with the other phones :(

on the latest update from the OP, i had nothing but issues with the graphics and it freezing the current view and having to back out and then back in. the drivers for the Tegra 2 chipset aren't the right ones and is listed as ULP GeForce. So, i wanted to report a total UI instability. the ROM, cm10.1 unofficial from apolkosnik (ROM located here) is infinitely more stable with the UI. i am aware of the known problems, but i had problems with even getting the software home, back and app switch keys to go away. in fact, i recall there not even being an option to remove it. those software overlays aren't even needed because there are 4 hardware touch keys to work with. enabling the 3-button modification located in "Settings> System> Hardware Keys" works well enough. i hope that this review helps in your quest to better the ROM because this has so much potential. i love the tweaks and UI options and i just wish it was more functional. i know that it will take time to fix the bugs, but i can hardly wait to see what the next update brings. i hope this feedback and testing was valuable to you, the developer(s).

I never had issues with removing the buttons and of course the other ROM runs smoother, it's more up to date software and it actually has HwA. I wouldn't hold my breath on an update to this if I was you.

Need help with Status bar

I recently Flashed this ROM and I must say "Excellent" work by the DEV's. Everything is working fine and smooth for me till now.

The only problem I am suffering is the Main Status Bar (Where you can see your battery icons / notifications / Wifi Signal etc) of the phone is at bottom. Is it by default like that or I have done something wrong in Flashing the ROM ?

Is there any way to put the status bar at the top which actually used to be?

Please intelligent superman help me fast.

Thank you in Advance.

Read through this forum someone explained hiw to fix your issue.. but if you dont know check your settings the status bar style must be the old one not the unstable one i think it was the ics one. Am a hot reboot. Or a reboot.

Why is this ROM "taking CyanogenMod to the next level?

CyanogenMod does not want to include many customizations like they did in cm7
But why not? We want to customize our phones!
This ROM adds more options and cherries to CyanogenMod, cherry picked from the CM gerrit, Google gerrit, AOKP gerrit, many github pages that are around or made by me

This ROM also includes a lot of experimental changes like many NEON optimized code sets, better libraries like jpeg-turbo and tweaked surface flinger, skia and many more

Want to turn the recent panel in to an app killer?
Just select the option for a kill-all button!

You want to use this big awesome screen for tablet mode?
OK! just boot in tablet mode then!

You want to reboot but don't wait to long?
Just execute a hot reboot this is 50% - 70% faster then a normal reboot

    You want a custom density?
    Got that covered!

    Hate the default Roboto font?
Just change it to another font with the build in font changer!

Hate the stupid useless overflow menu button (onscreen menu button)?
Also got an option for that just hide it!

Hate the ugly Android Global Action (power menu) dialog?
Just change it to a nice three row picture view without text

In Android you can swipe from the top of the screen downwards to expands the status bar
Why only from the top of the screen?
In this ROM you can define actions for
    • Swiping top edge
    • Swiping left edge
    • Swiping right edge
    • Swiping bottom edge

for example if you want the hide the status bar you can simply define a swipe action for it to an edge you like

And there is many more in this ROM!

Stock but still highly customizable the way we like it

    ScreensP9.png

    Download.png

    ROM:

    Download portal

    Gapps:

    gapps-ics-20120429-modified-for-custom-density
If you have problems with the modified package flash the stock package
    gapps-ics-20120429-stock

    flash one of those
and if you want inverted holo black gapps instead of holo white flash this afterwards

    gapps-ics-20120429-holo-black-addon

Running the new baseband on your p999? than you'll need this fix for ROM side support!
flash this after the ROMhttp://owain.hopto.org/T-Mobile LG G2x (p999)/Domination/new_baseband.zip

    Oh yeah, one more thing...

DO NOT USE SCRUBBER, NULLIFIER, OR CLEANUP BATCH!

For the love of all things holy please listen to this. Have y'all not noticed how many people have problems after using these "so-called tools"? Ffs cwm does all you need to install roms. So stop causing yourselves more problems.
