I followed the dummies guide, bit of a n00b so apologies for the n00b question, and it suggested modaco recovery as interim.
Can we flash this official recovery and restore the modaco back ups?

If you want to flash any non-stock recovery then you need an unlocked bootloader.

If you want to flash any non-stock recovery then you need an unlocked bootloader.
This is a recovery image, hardly has anything to do with root or SuperSU. You can, however, use this to flash a ROM that is rooted and/or has SuperSU.

ya i was trying to install from fast boot..in the afternoon i flashed interim recovery and it flashed through..but getting this error with this one..tried many times and also downloaded twice but the same error comes..
I made a nandroid with this recovery but I couldn't flash leedroid, so I reverted back to interim.
Does this mean if I restore I need to flash this one again?
What about in future, if higher versions are released, can I flash the nandroid I made with this version?

Hey guys.
Koush has been hard at work with his new recovery for The One-x.
A lot of his testing is done in our own IRC Channel #HTC-one-X on Freenode

You need to flash in fastboot by using the command fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img
Charging Issues Fixed !!!

Make sure you are on 5.8.4.0 or later (Check from recovery!!)

Stock HTC Recovery Use right mouse click > save as! otherwise it will just open in your browser
