Instead of wiping battery stat when you calibrate your battery, battery drain is caused by signal IMO, airplane mode can avoid that problem or try to make your signal available as you can.

Yeah, that´s what I´ve been posting about too. Much of the battery drain apparently goes out to radio /cell signal/, it depends heavily on quality of signal in your area. The trick with airplane mode during the nights or whenever you need helps a lot, if you go back several pages you can find that even dev himself and matmutant too were using this.
One more thing. You may want to disable radio alone, with keeping other connectivity like wifi or bluetoth enabled. Just go to phone, dial *#*#4636#*#* wait a moment and you`ll be redirected to testing page, tap Phone information, scroll down and tap Turn off radio.

when flight mod is enabled you still can enable wifi and bluetooth by yourself :)

There's a cell phone tower near me and the signal is always the strongest. The problem persists.I've tried increasing the minimal cpu frequency and switching between cpu governors all day with no effect.Guess i'm going back to the trusty old MiniCM for now.A shame,i like ICS a lot...

If you want battery more longer just try disable zRam and KSM feature, because there are need cpu cycles, nAa already declared that on first page. But you'll never be have more free RAM.

i have just option "themes" in my settings and there is just "Preference Stub" this isn't theme
I bet you had an ancient version.

OK, we know there`s a lot of things that influence power usage. You named some very important. But even with disabling them and going to "barebones" by disabling pretty much everything not vital to rom /believe me, I tried it all/, still you can see that infamous battery drain - which is acceptable for me btw, but the question is - why there`s such a difference between airplane on/off modes. It has to be RIL. CMIIW.

Cell standby consume battery isn't it? I think thats the difference between airplane mode, correct me if I'm wrong.

Of course, but the question is, why this rom /or maybe ICS as such?/ while in cell standby consumes more than GB.

yes, and the cell standby as it is in your phone actually was meant to work with android 2.1 eclair!
4.0.4 is far different from 2.3.7 and so further from 2.1 so:
the higher consumption is due to compatibility issues, and can't be solved in the very near future ...

In my humble opinion, ICSthing are hungry memory right? Some of closed application still running on background, maybe this thing consume battery too even on airplane mode. But let wait someone who more experienced/knew explain more clearly.

So, it is related to hardware thing?

That`s a word, thanks Mat!
But I was hoping that nAa could shed some light on this. In other threads, people are discussing various tweaks in radio-related libs.

sry for offtopic but:

What about a new bootanimation?
It's not complete finished yet but is it better or worse than the old?
:)

    MiniCM9 Visuals

    MiniCM9 Theme:

MiniCM9 theme, is the valid successor for MiniCM6 and MiniCM7 legacy.
It is designed as close as possible to the original specs of ICS, in order to be a lightweight, beautiful alternative to the stock theme. However it is tweaked in several parts of the UI, in order to fit better to x8's device's screen.

    Screenshots:

    Tips to make things faster

    * You want to overclock as much as you device can handle. ICS requires more juice to run.
    * Remove / Freeze system apps that you don't need, especially DSP Manager
    * Install only apps that you need, don't bloat your system
    * Consider using a swap partition / file if you got a fast sdcard. Swap will give more memory for the hungry ICS to consume
    * Using Zram (Compcache) and KSM is also suggested as they will give you a tad more RAM for your apps. Note that they might also reduce battery life since they require CPU cycles.
    * Trebuchet is beautiful but a bit on the laggy side yet. Consider installing another launcher from the market like Apex.

Don't report bugs if you are using thirdparty tools that claim to be boosting the performance (Supercharger, RAM Manager, etc.)
