The soft buttons gone were the 1 thing stopping me from trying it out (and the data, but thats the test). Now that you did it :D, I will test it all out and report my findings. (ps. have not tried any other ics yet as they have the soft buttons still)

Thanks for this hard work!!! Its absolutely appreciated!

^^We cant ever get OEM drivers from HTC as this is not a native android phone. We use drivers from the Nexus one, Desire, and Evo mainly. Then they are tweaked, so that is what we are waiting on, the tweaked versions :D by our outstanding devs!


Report for 1.0:
+It booted in a fairly normal timeframe (maybe as long as a 3.0 sense build). But it booted so its a +.
+No extremely bad or annoying bugs :D. Setup went through fine, connected to my wifi (after putting in static info [though no rom ever auto connects to my router idk why]) and it went to home screen quickly.
+All apps appear to work out of box, no FC yet.
+No glitches :D
+Voicemail sounded great
+Fast besides the transistions, you click an app it opens.

Some drawbacks (not showstoppers though ;)):
-The lagging between animations and various apps is there (turning off animations and forcing gpu rendering under development helps a bit)
-The phone didnt want to open first try, but after retrying it worked
-The data does seem to be erratic, I dont get good service where I am at currently anyway, but it would normally hold a E[dge] for a few minutes then drop out (any other 2.3 ROM). This one holds for 1-2 seconds then drop out, 5 seconds later it would show E again...Cant travel right now to test other locations though sorry.
-No images in gallery and no video in youtube app.
-Some apps will say not compatible (not roms fault - just pointing out)


Now I was able to install SetCPU, and that did help some. It made some of the lagging better but it is indeed still visible. Its not so bad that its not useable, like nothing is freezing up on me, just a 1-2 seconds slow moving from one window to the next.

Overall? VERY nice work :D. I think for a few releases later, you have a very good product to build from. The main things that need fixed are the unstable data and the animation lags...other then that, you have a near perfect build so far :D. Will keep playing with it

Thanks keep messing with it trying to get asmuch feedback as possible. But for your gallery not showing pictures thats strange because mine does. Is your sd mounted?

(BTW updated my post - finding out turning off animations helps with the lagging a bit)

And for my pics not showing, its just in "gallery" because if I go to wallpapers under settings>display>wallpaper>wallpapers it shows the pictures there (including ones on my SD), but if I go to settings>display>wallpaper>gallery it shows gray blocks then as it loads them the gray boxes turn black then its all black (my album folders are black too), so im thinking something wrong with gallery? My SD is mounted because I installed file manager and I installed set CPU from it.

I think i know why gallery can only view low res pics bc all my high res do as you described probably problem with libs for rendering

Use hd2 toolkit its in this forum. Partition layout and cwm layout are same thing

You can also edit any recovery to your liking by editing the flash.cfg
This gives you way more ways to edit the Recovery than the hd2 toolkit does.... I never use it bc its limited
Simply open it in notepad or (any other text editor as long as you dont change the format you save it in)
Edit the values for the particular rom you want to flash(in red):

misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery.img
boot yboot|ro 8M
system ya 200M
cache ya 11M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize

Save and Flash.
There's nothing to it ;)

Calling works (both normal and speakerphone)
Browser feels way faster than gingerbread browser.
everything works a lot better when you force gpu rendering, and turn off all animation, still a little laggy though.
keyboard saying everything i type is not a word. (spell check problem)
some ringtones don't work or work at variable sound levels.
music doesn't work over headphones.
gps works.
sms works.
gallery works partially, meaning it doesn't show your pictures unless you click random spaces.
mms does not work.
camera broken.
gmail works.
market works
wifi connected, but showing a bad connection? works fine anyways.
google music from market doesn't work. perhaps google's problem?

I'm gonna reboot and see if that fixes anything.

In order to change the LCD density all I have to do is edit in the build prop correct?
And That can be done buy opening it in a text file and as long as I do not change the file properties it should work? If this is true That is what I did and when I flashed it with full wipe it hung on the flashing android logo and stayed there until I did a battery pull in like 5 min? What did I do wrong?

    Which Desire Rom do you use? Can you give the link or thread post?
    And who compiles it?
    I'm interested in it because there're too many important files to be the same as N1 ROM from texasice (aka drew).
    I don't think there's another people to compile it.
    I can show everyone the evidence about which files are from N1 ROM (i.e. drew's rom) if it's necessary.

    I just hope that you can state everything clearly in your first post.
