Tried the solution in the OP - same (non) result as previous post. Could I ask again for an MD5 Hash for the ManualNooter file? I cannot get this to work at all.

Would also love to see a way to enable recent apps on long home press like I had in CM7. when I try to choose with some different launcher an option to run an app (if that is an option with home button binding like in ADW EX), selecting that desn't work....

The older market when there is not an SDCard in the device defaults to using the DOWNLOAD_CACHE BasePath which is broken causing /cache/downloadnull this also happens to be directly related to the Could not Verify apk issue as they appear at the same time (While with an sdcard inserted, Old Market doesn't use BasePath and the issue doesn't show up)
Thanks, I'll give it a try - my other solution is to try a complete wipe back to 1.01, then reinstall 1.2 and go from there. I'll let you know.I don't have an md5 but according to the nooter page

The fix for visibility issue works fine if you follow it exactly. I've repeated this process several times while attempting to figure out the newer market issue.
1.82 included with ManualNooter works WITH Sdcard but is broken WITHOUTI'm completely lost.
in manualnooter 4-4-28 Vending.apk is 1.82 (size 628173) - and I think this is old one. This version does not work with or without SDCARD.
And I find another versions:
Vending.apk 2.2.7 (size 2073K)
Vending.apk 2.2.11 (size 1841K)
So, please say me in plain english, what version of Vending.apk is working, and where I can get it.
P.S. What is right way to change apk? Just copy them to /system/app folder and reboot?
Thank you.

Same crap - doesn't seem to load market - thanks for the time - I'll just go back to dual boot from the SD Card.
Yes! Just put it back in /system/app and installed some game from Market (SD card inserted). But at this moment I do not see a full Market. I'm afraid, what procedure for Market fix (page one) will broke Market installation capabilities. Anyway, now I will repeat literally this procedure and report what happened.
P.S. I found what in /system/xbin was busybox, but no symlinks for all commands what do busybox binary. Is it known bug?
So, I can confirm, what Market (v.1.82) works with SD card.
And WITHOUT SD card Market broken.
This means, that we are unable to install from Market any Angry Birds app, since they does not installing WITH SD card.
Any ideas, how I can get back my favorite games?

I'm a bit lost as to why people are continuing this test... I reported this issue clear back on page 12, post #113 that the market was broken without the SD card inserted but yet there have been several posts since stating the exact same thing or asking that very question.
Because this must be written on FIRST page, but not on page 12, which I miss at this time (it is night here right now...) So, sorry for several posts.
About apps failed to install. Define smaller and larger. Without some digits this is not a good looking discussion.
Angry Birds is definitely larger then 10MB, right? So, is there some app what is same size as AB to test?
To get things like Angry Birds to install you must do the following:
Download/Install from market (This will fail regardless in separate ways)
Pop out SDCard.
Using a file Manager navigate to /cache/downloadnull and install the app with the angry birds icon.
This will install it.
This issue isn't a market issue, it's obviously an issue with B&N's modifications to the system as it does the same thing when you try to install from B&N's market according B&N Forums.
There is /cache folder, but no /cache/downloadnull folder. I use ASTRO file manager to look into /cache, and show hidden files was ON.
