the issue is definitely with 2g/3g radio. i have changed it to "Auto" so it picks up 3g and now it can last at least for one day. its not as good as it was before the upgrade, but its a bit better.

Try this: http://xdaforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=399898&d=1284340661

i have updated my bb1 with 6.5 rom and everything seems fine except the battery life.
Did you made Hard Reset after flashing?

the thing is, the battery was just fine with b13 original rom so its not a battery issue
I tested my roms and B13 for battery life time. And I see no difference. I have two batterys - old and new. Discharge time is same for both. And this time is very short. But my phone is water-damaged and high battery drainage may be because of this...

Stop.
Did you have N61 of Bluebelt?

do you have all the drivers in your computer instaled? have you tried whit the 6.1 version from Alex and then try to install the 6.5 version?

Guys, I have important note for all of you.
ALWAYS USE ORIGINAL ROM (FROM TMN/ZTE) FOR RECOVERY. ALWAYS.
Because only original ROM have complete set of files - bootloader, radio, scripts and so on. Also it prevents many questions and doubts.

In case of "3-5%-FAIL" problem, as I already sad, phone can't start flashing procedure after loading and launch flash script. Why it happened - I do not know. Log of flashing we can see only by using QPST software from Qualcomm, but you should know - this software can kill your phone.

BTW, one of my Silverbelts dead same way - sometimes flashing hangs at 29% (when flasher try to flash main firmware). But sometimes flashing pass 29% and completed ok. In one fine day hangs becomes permanent. And after few days phone dies completely (bricked). I'm sure - NAND flash of this Silverbelt was produced with defects and flash chip slowly degraded, then completely fails. NAND flash (ROM) of Silverbelt/Bluebelt produced in one chip with RAM and have few regions. When main flash region of my flash fails, I could not read/write main firmware, but could read/write radio and bootloaders. When all regions fails, I got the brick.

So. What you can do now?
Now and then - remove battery, SIM and SD from your phone and try to flash without them.

If your phone is bluebelt:
1. Try to flash only radio firmware (from bb1/bb2 - not matter).
2. Try to flash your phone with original Bluebelt firmware.
3. Try to flash your phone with original Bluebelt II firmware (read instruction for this firmware first). Remember - your phone may become bricked. After flashing BB2 firmware try to flash BB1 firmware again.
4. Use QPST. But now I can't say more about it...

If your phone is n61:
All the same - n61 can be flashed by TMN ROM: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=953566

Good luck.

BTW. My Bluebelt somtimes hangs when flashing on 28-99% (maybe because it water-damaged, maybe because of low PC system resources). That's why I removed radio and bootloader from custom rom flashers - radio and boot areas stays intact when flashing...

It is very similar to how it was with my second Silverbelt.
I almost sure your NAND at death's door. And I think, now you can try to flash your phone with BB2 rom (http://www.pocketpt.net/roms/BLUEBELT2/BluebeltII_upgrade_B06.zip). You have nothing to lose - your phone needs a new chip and flashing through the JTAG. Simply put, it's easier to throw out it than to fix it. Too bad. Sorry...

Alternatively, you can try to flash BB1 B13 ROM again and again but change your USB cable before. Maybe your old cable causes this failure...

This topic is about custom ROM for TMN Bluebelt (aka ZTE n61).
***For TMN Bluebelt2 (ZTE n72 and n75) owners: please, read notes below.

Note: project discontinued, phone sold out.

    Introduction:
After completion of the custom firmware for TMN Silverbelt I decided to start work with the firmware for TMN Bluebelt (aka ZTE n61). Especially since I have long been interested in phone with landscape mode and QWERTY keypad.

    Notes and Warnings:
    1. All surveys were made on the basis of the TMN Bluebelt firmware B13 and TMN Bluebelt2 firmware B06. In fact, it more from Bluebelt2 B06 then from Bluebelt B13
    2. I accept no responsibility for bricked or locked devices or any other problems! You are use any information and any files at your own risk!
    3. Before you flash this ROM, make sure you are know how to recover from a non-booting ROM or to original ROM! If your device bricked, you can try to flash it by original flasher B13.
    4. You MUST read instruction in downloaded packages and post below.
    5. I strongly recommend to flash phone with TMN's B13 firmware before using this firmware.
    6. Also I recommend (but it still optional) to use custom firmware with new radio software from Bluebelt2.
    7. After every ROM flashing you MUST perform a hard reset (see instruction in downloaded package)!
    8. If you are use the software for backup and recovery, remember that these programs will work properly only within the same firmware. That is, if you phone flashed with another version of the firmware and you try to recover your data, you're may got unexpected behavior of the phone.
    9. There are swapped keyboard buttons: "Wireless Manager" and "Shift" like at Bluebelt II.

Notes to Bluebelt II, ZTE n72 and n75 owners:
    1. This firmware made for Bluebelt handset, not for Bluebelt II or another handsets.
    2. This firmware was NEVER tested with Bluebelt II or another handsets.
    3. But this firmware should work with Bluebelt II (camera will not work and not all RAM will available). If you want to use these ROMs with Bluebelt II, please, flash your handset with TMN Bluebelt II firmware B06 before using these ROMs.

    Network Unlocking:
If your phone network-locked, you can unlock it by enter unlock code. Use this calculator for generate unlock code, or use this online service: http://nextgenserver.com/calculator/.

    Support:
If you encounter problems, please do not hesitate to write here or contact me. Please describe the problem accurately and in detail.
Also, please, read this post and posts below BEFORE write your message.
Note that I can only help with these ROM. For general questions about cooking ROMs, please consult the forum and Wiki at xda-developers.com.
You should know two things: 1. I speak only English (too bad) and Russian. Por favor, nao escreva em Portugues :) 2. My local timezone is GMT+11.

    Today.

The old system was showing my sms/mms in a "bubble system"
This is "threaded sms" feature. I always disable it (I think it is ****). But you can enable it by using "Bluebelt control" from Control Panel.
