To Quantum users, and anyone who can help:
Telestra (Australia??) released drivers for the Quantum (C900) that has wireless tethering. However, the update is only available on that carrier, obviously.
You can get the cab from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1381162
I tried pushing the CAB manually and it did not work, so I changed carrier values to whatever the Telestra values are AND changed my model name from C900B to C900K (there's no hardware differences), however the update still failed to push. So I opened that cab file, and compared it to my carriers Mango drivers (Bell, also found in that thread) and found a lot of files not included in the Bell package, including updated wireless drivers - there is 1 in the Bell cab, 3 in the Telestra cab.
So my next question is, how could we possibly get this update on to work on all Quantum's? Is it possible to create a new CAB with the Telestra drivers and push it to the device?
Could I flash the Telestra mango rom, then install the tethering drivers after that?
Also, I'm getting a second Quantum from a friend (temporary replacement for their Blackberry), so once I do, if no one can try these things prior to then, I'll try them myself.
