So i was having a conversation with a fellow owner of a VZW M8 who is Not what we would call a power user, (one who roots, modifies, or otherwise alters their device)
and it came up about some features he "thought" came with the M8, such as power saving mode...
Thats when i informed him of the many other things VZW has ripped out of / disabled / removed from our M8.
I thought that many others, even on here, may not know of these features, apps, ect...
So here is a list, and if available ways to bring back missing, removed, or out right TAKEN from our M8s

to add the music channel option under /settings in the device section simple edit
/system/customize/ACC/default.xml find line
Code:

[B][COLOR="Red"]false[/COLOR][/B]

change to
Code:

[B][COLOR="red"]true[/COLOR][/B]

reboot and enjoy

Please if anyone finds or knows of any other things ripped out of our M8 let me know and il add it to the list

Maybe high performance mode for those on old OTA/old OTA rom? Just wondering, but sure if it's do able though

Edit. Thought of another misc one people might look for. Maybe a flashable boot anim with powered by Android?

I was wondering why my M8 didn't come with a proprietary HTC file manager... makes a lot of 'sense' (eyyyyyyyy...) now I guess; Verizon ruining all the fun.

What is Easy mode?

Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

It changes the home screen in a simplistic fashion. If you click the link below it, you will see what I'm talking about.

A lot of these files rewrite an xml script in the device. If anyone wants, I can upload the xml file I've been working on. It has beats audio option enabled, volte option enabled, power saver and extreme power saver enabled. I'll update as I go thru it and test it.

Here is a link. I'm running the original stock ROM. I don't know what would happen if you did on it anything else. Be sure to make a copy of your orognal just in case. The link will need you to request permission from my drive account first.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1iPL2g413wjWXU2OU9KN3dYSWs/edit?usp=docslist_api

This file replaces the one in system then customize then acc then default.xml.

So I finally got a chance to test it out, it gave me the beats option but I don't see anything for any power saving options
