I don't thinks it's a good idea.
It's not a fix, the patch replace webkit webview with the old one. It cause some application like mail to crash and will cause more and more problems since applications for android 4.4 using webview will be made to be rendered by webkit, not older webview component.

AFAIK the old webview was on webkit. how can an old(webkit) webview be replaced with even older webview.:confused:

Maybe it was based on webkit yes, but in any case Android 4.4 feature a new webview component (as you can see in Android kitkat feature list) announced to use "chrome" to render itself (so it must use blink).
You can easily test with the laggy browser (or zirco browser that seems to disable GPU rendering, so the webview doesn't lag). In any webpage I've tested, all Android specific rendering bug are gone. With the patch applied by Sonyoficialrebel, all those bugs are back (and apps are crashing).

Xperia Active bootloop problem

Hi,
My work:
- Root on GB system, then root on ICS system ( http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1695514), flash to ICS 4.1.B.0.587.
- Unlock bootloader (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1879750 - method 2) - successfull.
- Install CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.5.
- Install CM11 4.4.1 using files: cm-11.0-20131225-NIGHTLY-LegacyXperia-satsuma.zip and gapps-kk-20131119-lite.zip,
steps:
* unzip boot.img from zipfile
* fastboot flash boot boot.img
* fastboot erase system
* fastboot erase userdata
* Enter recovery, go to mounts and storage
* Format /system, then /data and then /cache
* Flash update zip
* Flash gapps
Now I have bootloop: start device, then appears screen with LX logo, then reboot ...
Help please.

Install from SD card > flash cm11.....zip file than gapps
Reboot

Thanks.
I wasn't precise. My steps:
* enter to fastboot mode on device
* fastboot flash boot boot.img
* fastboot erase system
* fastboot erase userdata
* Enter CWM recovery, go to menu mounts and storage
* Format /system, then /data and then /cache
* Install file cm-11.0-20131225-NIGHTLY-LegacyXperia-satsuma.zip from SD card ( CWM recovery)
* Install file gapps-kk-20131119-lite.zip from SD card ( CWM recovery)
I still have a bootloop.

    Here's a status update:

    - Rebased & cleaned up the new audio HAL
    - Some fixes ported from msm8660 audio HAL
    - Fix in audio HAL for VOIP apps like Skype and Line
    - Fixed coconut stereo speakers
    - Testing some changes from CAF jb_2.5.3 branch in frameworks/av related to LPA audio issues
    - Testing some camera changes again, should be the most stable we can have at the moment
    - Disabled 720p again. It's unstable and needs more testing. Will work on it again after the first ION build release
    - Testing change to fix "bootlogo appearing while in android" bug
    - Tested FM and made some additional changes but still don't get audio. Will work on it again after the first ION build release
    - Kernel: some interactive governor updates
    - Kernel: increase ION_MM size. Should fix out-of-memory issues with some apps like netflix

    As usual, I push all my changes on github so you can test building.
    I would appreciate if you don't share any more home builds here, I will release some builds myself when some more bugs are ironed out.
