I see you've already decided to flash globatron's ROM.

Just FYI, not sure about the official HC update, but a recent GB update in the US would freeze your tablet on the bootscreen or go to recovery, if you try to flash it on a rooted Flyer. It won't actually flash, and will prevent you from booting until you delete the zip file.

Question.
My flyer is first honeycomb leak and I followed paul's guide.
If I go back to GB(following "Revert from HC with HTC Unlock to GB"), can I get the OTA and update to official honeycomb?

Can you share some screen shots after your upgrade procedure ??
I'm really interesting in how the "latest version of HTC Sense for Tablet" looks like !

Great appreciation !!!

Hi,

Flyer 3G 32GB in gErmany, just installed the HC update.
- Hardware Buttons gone as proposed in the update notice except the stylus button
- Tethering still works (device is unbranded)
- Stylus works after the first tests better, can't describe exact why but feels more like a real pen...
- 1 VPN unfortunately not working, Android internal is working but kinda lot of taps...

So far so good after an hour of testing. I like the new view even with the honeybar at the bottom wasting some space.

bye
Sven

Does this include the HTC View from Sprint?

There is one for $240 on the front page of slickdeals right now.

HC supports pressure-sensitive pen input (stock GB ROM does not).

Hello, First time in this category. I am a bit naive about the distinction, but is everything that is available for the Flyer in terms of rooting or ROMS equally applicable to the View? I think they are the same hardware other than the cell radio in the View, but other than the cell function (not needed for my uses), is what I read about the Flyer also for the View?

I want to be sure, if I get a View, that I will have XDA support like I have had for my other Android devices.

Thanks!
