[GUIDE] LG G3 ish Home Screen for your L3/L5/L7 [OPTIMA TEAM]

Hello all,
I will show you some combinations through which you can achieve a G3 kinda home screen like the one below

What we need
  • LG Stock Jelly Bean (v20) or a v20 based ROM
  • Root access
  • Holo Launcher
  • Voxel
  • G3 Wallpapers
  • Zooper Widget PRO
  • G3 Zooper Widget
  • Xposed Framework
  • GravityBox
  • A good Internet connection and 10 minutes

Alright, so lets get started!

  1. First download the required files
  2. Select Holo Launcher as default
  3. Now go to Holo Settings, and from Icon pack, choose Voxel
  4. Now create a 4x2 Zooper widget
  5. Load G3 Widget onto that
  6. Enter your Location and change weather provider to Yahoo
  7. Choose your desired G3 wallpaper

OK, now are 70% done!
You should have reached till here

  1. Now, get Xposed Framework onto your phone!
  2. From downloads, download Gravity Box
  3. Reboot to activate it
  4. Go to status bar transparency settings
  5. Set Home screen and Lock screen to 100%
  6. Goto Holo Launcher Settings and desktop settings

That's it!
You're done!!
Enjoy the premium G3 feel on your L3/L5/L7

Yes, if you have a custom Rom installed, then things are much easier. This mod is for stock. Since I'm away from home, stock gives me best battery and no battery drain when idle :)

Thanks for the icon pack however, I got another one which looks the same as G3. @derSA7 has sent me some too, I will merge them an update OP when I am home!

This mod isn't for l3,since there isn't any jellybean rom for it:(.Change the title;)

My phone: Lg-e400 with cyanoid rom #15+cyanoid kernel 0.4(@linuxx)+supercharger v6 (@zeppenlinrox)+crossbreeder (edited zip) (@idcrisis)+swap of 50 mb (System) and 693 mb (sdcard) all this for#abetterl3

Doesn't matter, L3 stock 2.3.6 has the 4.1.2 feel. But L5 4.0.3 looks more AOSPish (like the status bar icons)

Yeah more a less but stock 2.3.6 isn't exactly "a state of the art rom";)
I believe that the cappuccino UX on l5/l7 isn't 4.1.2 feeling but is anyway quite pleasable(at least at first boot;))

where is this status bar transparency settings??

sorry for this silly question but i cant find it

when i try to install gravity box it says "There is a problem parsing the package"
