I want to install this on my friend's sensation and I saw some of the bugs at the first post. Can you tell me if the ''-.AVI files are not hardware accelerated and cannot be played in the'' and the ''- Scrolling may not be as "smooth" (Don't complain about this)'' bugs are still there? Thank you

Basically, scrolling is as good as it gets. As far as avi files, I don't watch videos on my phone so I can't say much about that.

Hmmm.So It is ok for daily use? This friend of mine is using the phone feature very often so it has to be very stable. Thanks!

Should be perfectly fine for daily use. I've been using OpenSensation for a while, which from the date I'm using, is more or less exactly the same as cm9. I haven't had any problems yet.

Screen issue

Hi guys,

I am experiencing same issue as Nilsb7 with touchscreen posted earlier in this thread
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=27745666&postcount=1766
the only difference is that when I flash RUU the phone is working. His phone wasn't working with stock either.

I was runing CM9 for months, and one day the screen just stopped to work. It works in recovery and stock rom, but not in CM9/10

Wiping/formating didn't do the trick. What can cause this issues to appear after wiping/cleaning. Where could the problem resides. In what partition or part of phone/android system?

I must add that I had issue that when both volume buttons are pressed I get some shell error access denied or something. Battery pull on is the only way to use the phone after. Thah is how I found Nilsb7 on CM forum. I sent him private message here, and waiting for answer, but maybe someone else have something to say.

Getting really bad battery use with this ROM, seems to be wakelocks from Android OS causing the issue.

i.e. phone off charge 6h 0m and Android OS has been on keep awake for 3h 7m 51s and I've hardly touched the phone (36m of screen time)

I wiped before installing (came from CM9 Stable), have reset battery stats via CWM.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this issue please as I really quite like this ROM

Happened to me too a few times. I've got wifi at home, whenever i'm in its range phone doesn't recognize touchscreen input, even if "show touchscreen input" is enabled. So, my advise is to turn off your access point or get far from it enough to not receive the signal anymore. It may sounds silly, but it worked everytime! Then disable wifi on the phone for a while and just wait. Usually, when this occurred, even my data wouldn't work, so you know everything is ok when signal from tower comes back. This is it. Let me know if it works for you!

For the issue of the volume buttons check here, it's already been reported: http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmo...work+Owner+Summary+Stars+Priority&cells=tiles

A last_kmsg would probably be more helpful since it would more likely be a kernel issue.

I've just tried to get the log but every single time there is information(in terminal) that this directory doesn't exist. I don't think that this is connected with kernel cause it happens on different roms and kernels. I have no idea what to do :( could you tell what should I do to get last_kmsg

Hi folks,

I have a problem with Titanium Backup and the nigthly CM9. I scheduled a batch job. Every time my phone reboot, while the schedule job is running . Has anyone else the same problem? Is there a solution?

Regards

Ok, problem solved. With the actual nightly no reboot anymore

    What are nightly builds?
Auto compile builds from the CyanogenMod github, each time there are new corrections on it.
This version change each night, and aren't support officially, if you find bugs/issues you can/must discuss here.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */
    Firmware:
Latest firmware (3.32) is required. Download here.

    Instructions:
    - First time flashing CM9 to your Sensation (Or coming from another ROM)
    1. Unlock/root your device and install ClockWorkMod Recovery via ROM Manager
    2. Do a Nandroid backup!
    3. Wipe
    4. Install the ROM
    5. Install the Google Apps

    Bugs:
    - Bluetooth ID3 tag issues
    - 1080p recording is broken
    - Not compatible with superwipe
-.AVI files are not hardware accelerated and cannot be played in the gallery
    - HDMI does not work
    - Scrolling may not be as "smooth" (Don't complain about this)
    - Random no data connection (I don't experience this but some do)

Holy **** enuff with Opensensation, should we go in that thread and talk about cm9....besides the silly faces work fine on cm9, kids love it and I don't see anything wrong with the camera works just fine

You do realise that cm for pyramid as based heavily on the work originally done by those who worked on opensensation don't you?

Sorry but I find it funny how many people are thanking the cm team for the smooth amazing almost fully working Rom, when no one from the cm team really did anything for pyramid (well one person did a few little bits, prior to it being merged)

The kernel was done by interviligium & faux, device tree by me, interviligium, elelinux & merged from opensensation to cm by cretin45.

As for the difference between the two things, well OS has 1080p, working DSP and more photo resolutions.
All three things being done by hacks that won't be merged into cm.

I know I created OS, but others have said this too, without it you probably would not have cm9 now.

WIFI CALLING FOR CM9 / AOKP

1st NOTE - Please make a Nandroid backup in case something happens to your ROM.
2nd NOTE - I am not responsible if your phone gets the clap. Sorry :/
3rd NOTE - As of right now - MMS does NOT work.

Now, here are the two ways to install:

    1st way
Boot into recovery and flash the VisionWifiCallingv1.2_Android4.x.x.zip in recovery and reboot.
If you are stuck in "reading SIM" or "enabling" and not getting anywhere for over a minute - its time to try the second way.

    2nd way
Boot to recovery and flash WifiCallingICSAOSP.zip . After its done - flash VisionWifiCallingv1.2_Android4.x.x.zip. After its done - reboot and voila - you have a fully working wifi calling (no MMS for now... sorry)

All credit goes to: bigmoew, EdKeys and everyone else involved.

    My apologies everyone.

I have some RL issues of my own, but I finally got around to contacting an admin.

The new maintainer of this thread is aNYthing24.

He should be able to update the OP often and keep everything up to date.

    Again, sorry everyone.

They're working on fixing it, right?

    Yes I am.
