Ok, it sounds like it's on, but like I said, the checkbox doesn't change anything. Also, the camcorder isn't working right. I didn't read through the 100+ pages of other comments so I don't know whether these things have been reported or not. I know the animations aren't working right but that's not really a new issue. I'll wait on kernel source with the OTA for that to be fixed. Anyone know anything about the HTC gestures on sense 4?

Hey Bored. With the announcement of the Incredible 4g which will start with ICS and Sense 4, is it more of a compatible device to the Rezound than the One series is? (ie. grabbing stuff from a build to make Sense 4 work better with the rezound)

It always seems like the Incredible series was a great phone to port stuff from compared to other lines.

No IMHO, if you look at the comparison, the One is the closest phone to the rezound (ie, screen resolution, memory, 3D hardware acceleration...) , the Incredible 4 is a let down. Verizon opted to take an already scaled down phone (One S) and scale it down even more and make it it's own product.

The problem with using the incredible 4 kernel will be a crap load of hardware mismatches that will have to be fixed. As i'm sure somebody will port it over, i don't see the functional usage of it. The only issue with the One S4 roms right now is lack of a good kernel to base the Rezound off. Once that's release, GREAT DAY AHEAD!

I searched the entire forum for HTC gestures and no hits on a real explanation. When I 3 finger swipe, I get haptic feedback, so they "work" but I don't see how to assign it to an action. I see a lot of questions online asking about it, and a few references to three finger swipes activating an external video source, but no real info on customizing gestures.

it only works to send video to an outside source. it cannot be assigned to anything else. you have to set up the media in the wifi menu i believe but it doesnt work yet. best advice- disable that feature for now.

There are no problems with the animation in this rom. They work just fine, our eyes are all so attuned to crap that we don't see how awesome they are working. The animation fix just is a step backwards to a point where our feeble minds can comprehend whats going on.

P.S. If you unplug from the matrix, you only find out the reality THERE IS NO ROM!

Lol. Animations are disabled because they cause ghosting and extreme lag... So they aren't working actually

    ROM Installation:

    1.
Unlock via HTCDev or have a factory S-Off device.
    2.
Install a custom recovery. It is reported that CWM is having periodic issues with certain code formats in the update-script. With that being said, I highly recommend using Amon RA Style Recovery with this ROM.
    3.
    • Download RezROM from the link below. If you are S-ON, download RezROM_S4_S-ON_Kernel_Installer.zip as well.

    • CHECK THE MD5 AFTER PLACING ON YOUR SDCARD. Windows user can download md5 checksum shell extension.

    • Reboot your device into recovery mode.

    • I recommend a wipe for this installation. A lot has changed.

    • Install the ROM in recovery. S-OFF users simply reboot. S-ON USERS DO NOT REBOOT. Now flash S4 Kernel Installer zip which will reboot your to bootloader to finish the process.

    • Enjoy and consider buying me a cup of coffee :)

    How to upgrade your firmware:

    1. Download the 3.11.605.22 Leaked RUU: LINK MD5 = 58b0f42defc689650ddd5128f195dc7d
    2. Rename the RUU to "PH98IMG.zip"
    3. Copy the renamed RUU to the root of your external SD Card.
    4. Re-lock the bootloader.
    • Open a DOS prompt and change directory to the folder where you have fastboot.exe

    • Reboot to bootloader

    • Type "fastboot oem lock" (No Quotes) while you are in bootloader (fastboot usb).
    5. Reboot to bootloader again via recovery menu.
    • The bootloader will begin to scan the PH98IMG.zip - This will take awhile

    • When it asks if you want to update press volume up for yes.

    • The update will make the first pass - This will take awhile as well

    • The phone will reboot and sit on the white HTC screen - DO NOT freak out once again "this will take awhile"

    • When it is done it will reboot back to fastboot mode.

    • Make sure "Bootloader" is highlighted and then press the power button to run the second pass of the install - once again "this will take awhile :)" - watch the screen to verify ok next to each partition

    • Once complete press the power button to reboot.

    • Your device will now begin booting on the newly installed Leaked RUU
    6. Once booted skip everything in setup
    7. Proceed to http://htcdev.com/ to unlock the bootloader - Unlock keys do expire so you may need to request a new key.
    8. Install the custom recovery of your choice.
    9. Flash RezROM as instructed above.
    Reset your MainVer
