I agree with the statements above regarding the notification icon size.

I am attaching a screen shot of my Galaxy Nexus running both the CPU usage app, and the Tablet CPU usage app. In the notification bar, the CPU Usage app icons are the first 2 on the left side of the status bar, and the other 2 icons are those for the Tablet CPU Usage app. Notice the significant difference in readability due to the sizes...

I also noticed the second core icon always starting up over and over again in the notification menu after waking the phone up in the latest 2.4.0

Been using your CPU Usage again since yesterdays update and so far love it. The complete overhaul looks and feels awesome on both my phones. Looks like I will be using it again. It blends in fine with Gingerbread and ICS. Well done!

Hmh, sorry but i don't totally agree.
The UI is much nicer, true.
But, for my part i only use the cpu freq notification with text, and it doesn't look so good :

First, the black backround is not totally black on an amoled screen. Please add an option for transparent background.
Second, the police is much thiner, the previous one was much easier to read.
Finally, it was possible to choose a refresh rate of 500 ms. Now the fastest is 1s which for my point of view is too slow.

Could you please fix these issues?

I didn't had a look to the memory footprint, but i read on the market that it was higher than before. This i don't know yet.

Anyway good app.

Using GB 2.3.6 on SGS2.

Well, I finally found a thing or two bugging me... ;)

Is it only my ROM or is there now a generally rather useless entry in the notification area? I need the space more often for notifications, please make it optional so I can remove the extra entry/entries (I don't need the usage, the icon is OK for me).

If I need to activate the app, I can still go to the app drawer...

Secondly, the resolution of the icons where twice as good (for what its worth) with the old app (10 bars vs. 5 bars new).

And the nitpicker in me found, that green follows yellow follows orange follows red, instead of the colors right now: green->orange->yellow->red... But that's nitpicking of a color affine guy :)

All not that bad but the first issue, everything else is most likely a matter of taste :)

Feature Request - Quad Core Icon?

Just a thought on a different implementation of the quad core icons...

Would it be possible to save a bit of space on the status bar by having (4) cores incorporated into a single icon of the same with as the current dual core icon? I like to have the CPU usage and the frequency both showing, but it seems like it would be a nice space saver to have all of them show up with a single quad-core specific graphic (with narrower bars for each core).

Guys I have just one question about this app.
I need to find out an app or widget that will show me when a second core is online. As I can see this app supports multicore phones. However will this app show me when the second core is online and when not along with usage?

Yep; from what I have been told. This functionality is still not available at the Android Developer App Level. Any other examples are appreciated. Thanks for the info!

If you tap the CPU Icon on the main User Interface you will be taken to a screen where each core detail is listed. Hope this helps.

is it "CPU usage monitor" by pocket app builders?

i bought the tablet one, but seems it didnt update anymore? any way i can transfer the license to "CPU usage monitor" instead of tablet version? as i changed my phone from tab 7.7 to galaxy note2 now, the interface is quite weird now, or can u fix the "tablet cpu usage monitor"? i dont want pay it again for "same" app.......

    CPU frequency reporting does not seem to work on OMAP3, or the Nook Color+CM7 at the very least. I was disappointed to find this out, and returned the app. :(

    The CPU usage information is abstracted in both cases at the App level. Apps just need to read the standard CPU usage information at the OS level to gather its data. Control of when and how the dual core magic works is not a worry at the app level since the OS handels it. Hope this helps.

    Just wanted to drop a note to let you guys know I just uploaded version 2.2.0 to Market. This version contains some bug fixes and also the ability to view CPU & Memory usage in

    TEXT

    within the statusbar! :)

    This new feature supports two colors currently; white and black.
