i am moving some more stuff to ext, so there will be more memory free in system, we'll see if it gonna help install it for you... would be sad if you really have less memory :/
Trying the same myself. I doubt much has to be moved since I can't imagine symlinks really taking up any space at all.
Of course I have no clue what I'm doing, so I might be destroying the entire ROM with my edits, but oh well, trial and error is the way to learn right?
I'm already pissed at Vodafone because the sales man promised me the phone wasn't branded, if it results in this stuff not working I will be even more pissed. Oh well, I'll report back how it goes.
Edit: I now moved the /system/media folder to the ext partition. Added the same lines to the update-script as for the other folders moved to ext. And guess what, it's actually booting now. Logcat is going crazy, like it should. It'll take a while, I hope I didn't forget to link anything to make the media folder work on ext... and for that matter, I hope it can even be moved without any bad results. But so far it's looking good.
Edit2: It works just great now, but I definitely forgot something, since I now have no ringtones at all, haha. @Robocik can you tell me how you linked the folders that used to be in /system to the ext partition?
