Pentecost sale = 50% off
I feel the app is mature enough to be made known more widely, hence the temporary price reduction.

I hope more users will bring more ideas to make Touchless Notifications most useful for everybody

You are welcome to spread the news

Hi, yes, but not in the immediate future. I've been thinking about localization, but it's quite involved. It's not just the settings menu items, but all the different things the app speaks, and how it analyzes and decomposes the notifications of different apps.

I think I will first do the Hungarian localization (my tongue), and if it turns out to be reasonably doable, then I will gladly accept all the help I can get.

Much improved notifications on KitKat
version 1.45 brings a lot of improvement in the operation of the app under KitKat. Starting with Android version 4.4 Google provides even more information to applications with Notification Access permissions.

Please see how much more can be read out by Touchless Notifications 1.45 than by previous versions.

Version 1.46beta1
New beta version includes:
*More intelligent notification fetching
*Much improved GMail notifications
+Audio stream option

Choose Earpiece audio stream to channel read-out to your (mono) headset.
Choose Alarm or Notification audio stream to hear read-outs from the phone (too?) even if headset is connected.
Most users will probably want to keep it on the default Music audio stream.

GMail notifications are pretty complex depending on
  • how you set your "Amount of detail read" setting in the "What to read" section, and on the
  • whether you enabled mailboxes in GMail
  • the number of unread emails in your primary or other mailboxes
  • whether you have one or more google accounts configured

You can hear it in the video: http://youtu.be/7dTw--5bg6Y?t=15s

Caveats:
  • It can detect the parts of messages from the accented letters (áéó).
  • If there are no special (non-english) characters in a piece of text, it will still use the English voice.
  • And the primary language has to be English, but you can set French as the secondary language used for messages.
I use it with my native Hungarian!

Great app

Thank you! But I'd recommend for you to first test the free version if it meets your expectations: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...fications.free.
