ok--will try to unlock again---I think when i followed Globatron's method the last step was to relock the Bootloader so that I could flash the RUU
Thanks mcord....but I GIVE UP--I get the error:<bootloader> [ERR] Command error!!! when I type in: fastboot oem get_identifier_token on the HTC DEV site. Nothing should be this hard and this aggravating. Im just going to send the tablet in to HTC have them fix it. Since they will put HC on it I will purchase a NEW device (without the HC update on it) and then sell the fixed tablet---> its just not worth the aggravation

1When you ran the ruu you would lose recovery. So once returned to gb you had no cmw unless you flashed it. You are not dead I do not think, I just don't know the fix. Someone like globatron may be able to help you1http://xdaforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=630613&stc=1&d=1308537331
