had trouble connecting to mobile networks. i saw 3 APNs but none would connect. the bars show gray instead of blue...
tried to copy them over, but they were the exact same. weird! cm10.1 works fine...but it just stays grey in this rom. So much faster/smoother than cm10 though....I like it. Rather use this rom...

@WesStyle comment on this?
First I've heard of this.

This ROM already has a screenshot function in the power menu. I was talking about a screenshot of the greyed out options. On your screenshot everything looks normal. Thanks.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I meant the data bars, they are grey which usually means no connection (and there is none). I can access mobile networks and APN settings fine, but it will never connect to AT&T. Could be some weird bug I guess....should I send some logs maybe?
really don't know. tried both gapps again, nothing. went back to cm10.1 to test, works right off the bat, connects just fine. Not sure where the problem is...everything looks the same. Not sure if I can even send logs to help...
Logcats couldn't hurt. If all else fails I'll try using the apn's from the original system dump which I have on my PC in tomorrows build. It sounds like a at&t specific issue. So data works and syncs fine on WiFi?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
should I use that app alogcat or whatever? what settings do I need to do in order to see the output we need to see? May want to take a look at CM10.1 APNs if you can, they have a LTE APN that's like double speed than the regular one. Both APNs work in cm10 though. Data works on wifi and syncs just fine. left it for a bit on wifi so it fully synced. turned off wifi, waited for 10 minutes and nothing. dang at&t. ill test the next few builds then! ^_^
I'll have a new build later today with new APN list. I don't think cm's will work good since this ROM is heavily based on stock aosp. Do you use goo manager app to check for updates?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Now that I think about it it's probably not a bad idea to remove the system folder in out/tilapia.../system just to remove any left over files that don't belong in the build.I cant say that last build works noticeably faster. But may be I should try clean install.
And btw I still see some lags while fast scrolling app list, but maybe its launcher fault.
No it's not you. The build from earilier today I removed because it didn't have the new apn list in it. I'm also uploading a new gapps which fixes a few issues. I will update the OP soon, the new rom build and gapps are uploading. Everything is hosted on goo manager.Awesome! no but i will if you use it.
edit: tried the latest one on goo manager, still no go...did clean flash too. im the only problematic child it seems.

Kernel is now built with SaberMod's very own arm-eabi GCC 4.8 toolchain! :)

Built with toolchain revision 195953. GNU updates their GCC source daily, sometime even hourly! Of course I don't have time to rebuild toolchains on a hourly basis that would be absurd lol! But I will try to update it once every day or two days if I have time. New kernel versions will either be posted seperately on the first post and/or in new ROM versions. New ROM builds only need to be updated with ROM changes, not for only kernel. So if you want the latest and greatest kernel version, check regularly ;)

Toolchain source is here and does not require any special kernel patches to build the kernel with it :)

Kernel Changes

Fix bug with stuck on boot when android is upgrading "starting apps message". Changing kernel compression from lzma to gzip fixed this.

Kernel is now built with linaro's daily toolchains 4.8 so expect frequent kernel updates as the toolchains are updated.

Updated kernel flags for C to optimize the kernel further. Fixed compiling with linaro toolchains.

Merged with latest 3.2.y linux patches. Bump to V3.8 respectively.

Put default clock frequencies back to stock, 102MHZ min and 1.3GHZ max.

Disabled BFQ I/O scheduler. With the latest 3.2.y changes it's not as compatible as before and is throwing out a lot of warning during compilation time. The new default is CFQ. Change to your liking if you so wish to.

Updated kernel flags to safe and usable. This optimizes the kernel more. New flags can be seen here: https://github.com/SaberMod/Kernel-Grouper/commit/7330e56a3cb2b98f148887a9451628d69f510c3e
