I'm not sure if it is that SQLite editor or something else, but whenever I've tried this, it has removed all the choices except power off from the pop-up that appears when you hold the power/lock button.

I've been able to accomplish the same thing also by changing ro.cdma.subscription from 0 to 1 in build.prop then doing a factory reset. I have not confirmed if it sets those first two mentioned entries from the database, but it does work. However, I've seen that data usage settings and stats don't appear when using this and MMS doesn't work either. Since I wanted MMS and the data usage settings and stats to work, I opted to just get the SIM card and use it, at least until some way is found to get those to work without the SIM.

Finally 3G Data on Droid Bionic is possible without LTE SIM..!!!!!! [Non-VERIZON Carrier]

!!!!!!!...PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROCESS CAN BE DONE BEFORE FLASHING YOUR PHONE TO ANY CARRIER...!!!!!!!

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY FLASHED YOUR PHONE TO SOME CARRIER, SIMPLY FOLLOW THIS GUIDE AND YOU WON'T NEED LTE SIM FOR 3G DATA....

THIS IS JUST A WORK AROUND / SOLUTION TO LTE SIM ONLY...

IT SHOULD ALSO WORK ON RAZR / RAZR MAXX as Bionic and RAZR are Siblings

    Ok Guys,

Here is my guide for the same... Please note that I've already tested this method and its working properly on my Bionic...
However I take no responsibility, if you brick your phone...

Anyone started 3g on AOSP based roms?

Just started testing this type of workaround on AOSP. Unfortunately databases are totally different than stock so will have to hunt down the right keys. Will post results.
