yes, but when I launch app advise that my device isn't supported
one billion of thanks! run perfectly [emoji106]you propably updated to the new version of Kitkat 4.4.2.
The new update had the bandversion I9301IXXUANF4 for me (I updated too) (there is no possible way to root this version as far as i know)
But the not updated version of KitKat 4.4.2 (bandversion for me: I9301IXXUANC6) works with towelroot.
Beside i updated to the new update i still got my phone rooted:
- I downloaded the new version of Odin on my pc.
- I downloaded the old version from sammobile. (the I9301IXXUANC6 version)
- In Odin (launched with admin rights) you click on the PDA (or sometimes AP called) button and select the downloaded firmware version (unpacked)
- Next boot your phone in recovery mode (turn it off, then press volume down + home + power button)
- Connect your phone to your pc (after that odin should recognize your phone)
- Now make sure re-partition is NOT checked in odin !this is very important! and click start (now wait some time until its finished)
- Your phone should reboot automatic (if auto reboot is checked in odin) and the old firmware should be on your phone
- Now install towelroot and click "make it rain"
- Now you should have root!
(Hope this helps. Sorry for my bad english... :crying: )
No problem. I just wanted to help.
If you read "knox warranty etc..." there is a hardware-efuse knoxThe phone must be turned off.
Keep pressing and holding ‘Home Button (middle button) + Volume down key + Power Button’ simultaneously until you see a warning message. Now press Volume Up to continue. This will land you into downloading mode.

Do you mean that you can downgrade, then root and then again apply the update installing the "F4" version of firmware?
Thanks
No I just wanted to say that I updated my phone to the "F4" version. And after I found that the updated version cannot be rooted I downgraded the phone and rooted it. I am still on the old "C6" version.

Hello,
i think we give it a try. Will there be root when you update again?
no, if you upgrade root it's not saved. Until AND3 firmware yesThe same question here... Then can I upgrade to ANF4 again with root saved?
