AFAIK, my friend had some connectivity problems with data connection after flashing a different region firmware, it might not be the case with your change but just a shotout if someone has simmilar problems.

Finally I've tried both. The Chinese one is too Chinese, so, I'm going back to the central/south american version.

Guys is there anything interesting from this fnc4 build from 07 march for i9505 i am on fnb9 ??
changelist is the same i think so whats new from this build..

Not updating S4 for few reasons
1. Increased battery drainage reported by xda members.
2. CHM reader not working (used to read books especially medical)
3. SD card write issue (can't transfer pix in quickpic app to sd card)
4. Knox coming into action
5. WLD does not work without root
6. Messaging issue of giving default sms authority to third party app otherwise it won't work
7. Few I cant remember
I request elite XDA members to Please enlighten me the benefits of updating.

Yeah battery is better than 4.3 but i hope samsung fixes glonass problems for s4 :(

3G problem

Sorry guys, I don´t know if it solved but after updated I start to have problems with 3G signal. How can I fix it?

No problems for me for point 3: working perfectly on my Note 3 and S4 on KitKat!
Do you have the latest version of QuickPic installed?

I had the android 4.3 and the home button at this case works perfect when i press it but now with android 4.4.2 doesn't work at all.

Why is that happening?

As i read the samsung remove the support of home button to 3rd party sview cases but it will fix that with another update.

Is there any temporary solution until this update comes into android 4.4.2?

WHEN THAT OFFICIAL UPDATE RELEASED?

I am hoping to see the Glonass issue fixed on this new update... Did anybody installed it?

EDIT :

1) Status Bar icon for GPS has changed.

    Will this trigger Knox?
    This firmwares, being official, will NOT increase your binary counter NOR void your warranty.

    How to install this?
    If you didn't received the update OTA you can use Odin with the official firmwares posted below.

    Will this update erase my internal memory by default?
    No.
    But because of upgrading to a newer base it is recommended to wipe data and cache before and after flashing the firmware.
    If any problems occur post-install or you want to avoid any from the start, do a factory reset before installing the update. (carefull as it will delete everything on your internal memory!)


    Can I install a custom recovery?
    Yes.
    You can flash your preferred recovery with Odin.
    !!! This will trip the KNOX counter !!!


    Can I root this firmware?
    Yes.

    Any changes for the interface?
    - updated status bar with white icons;
    - when playing music, the music album art is displayed as full-screen background for the lock screen;
    - camera shortcut is displayed on the lockscreen (dependent on csc);
    -stock keyboard's layout has been improved in landscape orientation;
    - more and upgraded emojis for the stock keyboard;
    - a new location menu;
    - a new default applications menu;
    - a new wireless printing menu;

    Any bugs?
    - Can't connect to GLONASS satellites.
    - Note that on the tw based 4.4 firmwares there's no option to switch from dalvik to the art runtime (this is not a bug, Samsung just wanted to avoid any problems (as art is just in an experimental phase) so it removed this option).
    - Also in KitKat, applications will no longer be able create, modify, or remove files and folders on your external SD card. As a for-instance, you can no longer use a file manager to copy files from your computer to the SD card over a network. This ability, which has existed since the beginning of Android, has been taken away by Google.

    How does it feel? Is it good for a daily driver?
    Seems faster when scrolling, UI still lags but less. Smoother transitions.
    The smearing seems to be back again.
    Definitely good enough for a daily!
