I know some of you are still waiting on my next update but please be patient. I have overclocking in it for 1200, it seems to be holding steady, but does eat up battery, you can use setcpu to cut it back and it behaves, anyone point me to an example of how I can cut the startup speed down during boot up in the kernel files? I used JT1134's OC example, but can't seem to throttle it on bootup.
It is just as easy to remove the OC if not needed. I'm only showing about 100 points higher than stock speeds in my version 2 release in Quardrant, and about 1.6 MegaFlop increase in LinPack...I'm wondering if it's worth it, or if my OC settings might be wrong
LinPack 1GHz Wide Open 8.165 MFlops
LinPack 1.2GHz Wide Open 9.751 MFlops
Quadrant 1GHz Wide Open 857
Quadrant 1.2Ghz Wide Open 926
*Wide Open = Max and Min CPU Speed were the same 1.2Ghz or 1.0Ghz
Also these numbers are under normal operation with other apps open etc. not "I killed everything but the benchmark to inflate numbers".
For those curious, version 2, and the release I am working on, score about the same as vanilla stock kernel on bench marks. Surprising eh? But I remember a lot more waiting around with the ole vanilla kernel, especially when surfing the web or loading apps from the Market.
BLN is fully supported, and I have almost fixed the ADB/SDcard not recognized under windows issues, Camera is behaving a little better less crashing zooming still chokes it though, voodoo will be included but not in this next release, more likely a few days after the one I am working on.
