I ordered a carry pouch from mobilefun.co.uk which is very good but doesn't have holes for the headphones and micro usb port. I use my phone as a Zune so it's not practical.

I searched everywhere but couldn't find a better case so I thought about looking in France (I'm actually French, hence the idea) and found it on Amazon and ebay. I ordered one from ebay and contacted other buyers who all confirmed it was the official Samsung case. The seller delivers abroad too :

If anyone needs help with their French I can help .

Nice... Tell me, how does it feel to make an actual call with it? Is the dangling cover disturbing or do you not notice it much?

Had mine a few days now (thanks for the ebay link ) and don't really notice it too much. If I make a call, I usually fold the flap behind the handset anyway - the extra bulk actually makes if feel more comfortable/secure to hold.

It sits in a recessed case with support at the top and bottom and feels securely attached. It does stay in if dropped (from first-hand experience ).

I accidentally purchased one of these from the French eBay.. My French isn't great and hit the commit to buy by accident lol. So it should be arriving soon so I'll add my 2 pennies worth then!

Right, the case arrived and I must say it is very good.

Phone is held in securely and feels well protected. It is also still very slim in the pocket which is a massive bonus.

I'd definitely reccomend it!

Two other official cases if you prefer slip cases or want to wear the phone to your belt:
