[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][7.1.1] LineageOS 14.1 Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 [SM-T530/531/535]

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

DOWNLOAD

Supported devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 WIFI, 3G & LTE [SM-T530 / 531 / 535]
Requirements All: Android 5.x Bootloader [Samsung Stock Lollipop]
Requirements 3G: Updated proprietary files to T530XXU1BOG2, so probably no modem update needed. if still needed -> Android 4.x Modem [XXU1ANH6]
Notes: 3G and LTE are not confirmed working, so please let me know if it does or not.

Installation:

Download official Samsung Lollipop Rom and flash with odin if you are coming from KitKat
Download latest TWRP and flash it with, odin, flashify, dd, etc.
Download latest ROM [cm-14] | [cm-13] do a full wipe and flash with TWRP
Download Open GApps and flash with TWRP

i will continue if all issues with custom 4.4.4 are fixed. also the lollipop roms dont have any interesting features yet.

Agreed. Nice to see the Lollipop efforts here. Personally I am eager for a Beta build of this ROM to go full time on my SM-T530.

i think a kernel patch of mdss_fb is needed. some ideas?

if you have problems restoring backup here some hints from moonbutt74:

a quick note, when you test your next build you may need to perform
a full system wipe before you restore your previous rom
then a factory reset and the a second restoration without a factory
reset or wipe to get your previous rom back to proper.
seems to be the same kind of /data conflict between cm12 and 11 [lp and kk]
as there was between cm11 and cm10 [kk and jb]

Is it possible to share the source code to inspect the possible patch? It's difficult to say something...I've found this anyway, that is implementing the mdss_fb, maybe it will help you

No, the tab 4 8.0 is sm-t330 and t330nu. The t530 is the 10.1inch variant and the t230 is the 7 inch variant
