I'm on Elite 8 beta and it is AMAZING - thanks to Elite and all the testers...
If there's a v9, I'm wondering what else could be done better than v8, given that v8 is pretty damn near perfect !
Anyway, if there's more to come, I'm happy....
I believe IMM76 has good RAM management, battery life and low OS usage

Dude..what ROM are you on...1 signature says Elite and another says Slim 3.0...
I've been testing EliteV9 since this morning.
There are two ROMs as favorite for me. These two are the best.
I've flashed all the ICS ROMs but Tiramisu and can tell you that.
The next one maybe 3.1 to test.
(I'm a moderator on a Samsung forum and take part on German forum, too.)

Ive flashed all the ics roms and the best two for me are tiramisu and elite v8! Hard to pick a winner. I hope elite v9 has google restore apps thats always a nice feature.
Btw there are some kernels with HUGERAM support appear (require ROM patches). New Midnight 0.9.0-2 supports 386Mb RAM and Glitch V14b7 is announced:

I have changed the instructions. I pasted the instructions without reading and I thinks that now they are more clear

hey guys, great rom i came from darky and its the first non sammy i am trying, works like a swish watch however i encountered a little problem hope you smart fellows can assist
the contact don't sync with the facebook pictures. had this before in GB and i know if you let the pictures in friends load it helps but not this time.
anyone else having the same problem, i am also willing to hear how someone who doesnt have this problem installed his facebook account and what dialer he is using.

Did you try the newest midnight kernel?
How is it comparing to Semaphore 0.9.7bm?
Can I use midnight HUGERAM on V8? or we need to wait for a patch?

26A new version is out, the Elite V8 Beta. For making easier the use of each version, a new thread has been started
I'm not the developer of this great ROM. But I consider that it's so good that it must appear in the XDA forum. The developer is ELITE, and he has authorized to me for uploading. I think that everybody would have the opportunity of knowing it.
Until now, this is a Beta development, and each version is incorporating different kind of improvements. Sometimes the ROM control is in on the versions, sometimes is AOKP, sometime Codename, sometimes the Toggles and Dialer T9 are incorporated, others not. It's very important to understand this. Surely this is the best ROM ever for SGS, but now is under development, and we all must understand this. If you like a concrete Beta version, maybe you must keep on that until a RC is out.
This V8 Beta incorporates great technical improvements that makes that our SGS works as never before, and although it's a Beta for daily use, it's a little more rude than others (i.e beta V6). You must be conscius of this

Installation instructions (IF YOU COME FROM AN ICS ROM IT'S NOT NECESSARY THE STEPS 1 TO 4, YOU CAN START ON 5) Nothing special must be done for flashing, this ROM is as other ICS roms
1 Keep a copy of efs folder for security
2 Reboot in recovery and data factory (it's not obligated, but could be interesting to format all from mount/storage)
3 Turn off the phone and restart download mode.
4 Flash the ROM JVU (http://hotfile.com/dl/140301534/be8872c/I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA.rar.html Password: samfirmware.com) in download mode from odin with marked repartition and reboot the mobile. Shut it off and reboot in download mode again, from odin flash now cf-root on pda without repartition. (http://download.chainfire.eu/132/CF-Root/SGS/CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip)
5 Once mobile is restarted, we debug (this is very important, you must mark debug on in the SGS) and copy the "4.0.4 beta" in the internal sd and reboot in recovery.
6 Wipe factory reset, cache partition, Dalvik cache and we flash "4.0.4 beta"
7 If do not start, press the 3 button to return to recovery and repeat step 6.
8 Open the app NSTools and select as governor and Scheduler Smartassv2 VR or that you like.
9 Enjoy ..

- Modify build prop (i.e with Root Explorer, it is in System dir and with R/O) and replace "GT-I9000" to "SGH-I9000"
- Fix permissions [DALVIK & CWM] (in Advanced option)
- CAUTION: With this change, Viber works, but it's possible that others app doesn't (somes games surely)
