I tried downloading superuser app from market, doesn't work.

I'm trying to do this:

You need to adjust the chmod on su.
Do a remount and adb shell, then cd to /system/bin then type: chmod 6775 su
You should now be able to type su and it should work.

What do I remount? what's the exact command?
i know how to adb shell, then cd to /system/bin, and type chmod 6775 su, but doesn't work, i dont know what the remount command is.

I already did that and it DID give me root. However, Titanium Backup in particular still says it cant get root access. All of my other root apps are working properly though. I thought it might be a busybox problem so i pushed busybox to /bin and still have the same issue. Description for Titanium Backup mentions that its compatible with android 2.3...
