Welcome back hillbeast, i know your decission already done, and i think you did the right one. I think doing custom Rome from cm7/9 is out of any sense, all those devs should concentrate their menpower on the real thing and repair what is missing or non functional and then submit patches. The kernel you plan to do is a good idea, it should be built towards cm7/9 and your findings also should be submitted so marcellusbe can integrate them into the real thing as well. I think thine should be over where everyone was trying to cook his own soup, lets go and help the device to survive one or two more years and make cm7/9 so powerfully that Samsung wants to hide in the basement and cry as they deserve it for what their software department does to those beautiful and powerful devices they produce.
