no I did not, should I install one? and if I have to install one, how do I go about doing that from where I am atm?

Thanks for all your help I got through by pulling the battery and installing a rom from the start up screen.

I always wondered what would happen if you rebooted after a full wipe. guess we know it doesn't brick your phone :p

Another way too get to recovery if you do that again zjxpot is pull battery and plug into power & because of the CWM bug , CWM will be displayed.

:)

If you read on the first post it doesn't touch sdcard. you dont need any files on your sdcard you can do a complete format. when you run your rom for the first time it should re-create all folders/items needed.

And your other issue , when you first do your google apps install, and then setup wizard is displayed. dont set anything up. go to settings ---> accounts & sync settings ----> disable either background data and auto-sync . cant remember then create a account and sync what you wwant manually . and market wont re-install apps . :)

enjoy

    Excuse my ignorance but I'm a little confused by what each version wipes. The op states:

    FULL-WIPE-1.3.zip

    Will format(wipe) the following:

    * SYSTEM
    * DATA
    * CACHE

    EASY-UPGRADE-WIPE-1.3.zip

    Use if you DON'T want your data removed! Use full for ROM upgrades ie. From CM7 Nightlys #1 to CM7 Nightlys #2 .

    You WILL need to reinstall gapps

    Will format(wipe) the following:

    * BOOT
    * SYSTEM
    * CACHE
    * DALVIK-CACHE

    This implies that Full Wipe doesn't format DALVIK-CACHE or BOOT. Is that correct as it appears that to perform a wipe of all I would need to run both?

    When you decide to change to a completely new rom, use full wipe only. It will format Dalvik Cache and Boot, reasons as follows:

    1. Dalvik Cache resides WITHIN /cache and /data partitions

    2. Boot will be formated when you flash the new rom.

    When you decide to update your current rom, use only easy wipe. It will leave the /data partition untouched but will wipe Dalvik Cache and Boot.

    Hope this helps.
