i m updating from froyo to cm7 and for that i first want to update kernel to mik's this kernel..
So , To update this kernel to i need to wipe anything ?
coz i tried without wiping and it shows the kernel in settings as "lgelectronics@mikOS desktop #33" is it rite?

Wow... you just bumped an age old kernel thread... this fix is now included in all new kernels with better improvements... go ahead and use those...!

I did dirty hack: insert msleep(1) after each input thread synchonization in mcs6000 driver.
Now hack is not dirty, just found that driver has native implementation of "sleep".
Result: 15-30% cpu use with tap down.
Included all tweaks from GNM OC Kernel.
Packaged in koush's anykernel for compatibility with any rom.
Do not forget to make nandroid backup first.
Probably fixed "scroll bug".
v1.1: added pressure sensitivity (works correctly only for single touch because of our touchscreen).

No. Only apply kernel.zip via recovery (that flash new kernel).
