I formatted my external SD by mistake and all my ROM/kernel collection are lost, may I ask a link for CM9 and CM10 kernel so I can flash the older versions of PA and Asylum in case I need something stable?

This is the HydraCore V7 kernel. Which supports CM9,CM10,TW, AOKP & MIUI. Its a universal kernel. For more info http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1749863

Remember this is for 4.1.2 and 4.0.4 Android versions only. :good:

excuse me, how one should read this thread, because in #1 there is absolutely nothing ? Should one read the WHOLE thread just to find one specific kernel ?

 nihtz, no, ohi , naine, njet, ne, oh noooo! :silly:
First instal kernel/recovery, than do all formats / wipes (not storage where Rom is located), than install ROM, boot it, than go to Recovery again, clear dalvick and cache and instal kernel wich coresponde with rom one more time, boot and if the kernel is the right one, evrything will go smooth :victory:
Yesssss :good: :highfive:

    Safe Kernels to Wipe/Flash from

You want to install another Rom, but are unsure if your present kernel is safe to wipe and flash from?

Get all the information about safe and unsafe kernels here!

Some of you kind guys have donated to me, although none of the kernels published here are my original work.
I don't think I deserve your beer, but would nonetheless like to express my gratitude to you generous people. So, a million thanks to

A lot of users find themselves searching for kernel links, and their posts keep clogging up the threads. And I keep spamming CM threads with download links, too. :(

So, without further ado, here's a thread where you can find the latest custom kernels, JB, ICS and some GB, all at one place.

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT POST KERNEL RELATED PROBLEMS IN THIS THREAD. SEEK HELP IN THE KERNEL THREAD YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH OR QUESTIONS ABOUT INSTEAD.
THIS PLACE IS MEANT FOR YOU TO FIND NEW KERNELS AND FLASH THEM, AND NOT TO BE A KERNEL SUPPORT THREAD.

I am seriously considering stopping updating this thread and letting it wither and die.

I have enough on my plate as it is, and I don't really need this.

    Let me tell you why.

I took the trouble of compiling a CM10 kernel this morning so you guys still running CM10 Roms can stay safe.

And what do I get? A 100+ downloads and four thanks from guys I know for sure are not even running CM10-based Roms (AA, kitrax, shoey and trahzebuck).

Or how about this? On Dec 18th I published the first CM10.1 kernel. Let me show you how many have downloaded it since.

And only two of you were decent enough to say thanks?

I'm not begging you to hit my blasted thanks button, God knows I have enough of that as it is. But to say "thank you", or "good job" every once in a while doesn't cost much, does it?

I'm sick of the lot of you, and I don't need to be doing this.

A small update on the current kernel development situation and info on why there are no new CM10 kernels posted.

    First off, Gavin is leaving.:(

He's promised to deliver one last HC kernel before departing for pastures new and probably greener (Note 2). That marks the end of Universal Kernel era for now. Thank you Gavin for investing so much hard work in making our Notes snappier, faster and happier. You'll be sorely missed.

Second off, CM10 kernels and Roms have had a substantial leap from r2p4 Mali drivers to r3p0 ones.

I already have two new r3p0 (aka C3P0 for me) kernels ready, but I'll delay posting them for a day or two until most of the CM10-based Roms have updated to C3P0 Mali. Thing is, r2p4 (or R2D2) Roms won't boot if you flash 3CP0 kernels on them and vice-versa. This has been tested by thechints (thanks!). You simply get a black screen when you try to reboot. Mind you, it's not terminal - all you have to do is to reboot into recovery and reflash any R2D2 kernel and you're back to your homescreen in no time at all.

But we wouldn't want some of our uninformed members to get a heart attack when they encounter the black screen, hence this slight delay. As I said, as soon as the majority of CM10 Roms have upgraded to C3P0, new CM10 kernels will be published and it will be business as usual from then on out.
