Can't find any improvement over pawitp rom it's even worse, Talk won't connect (ddm says it's because of lack of space), can't install datafix because it says lack of space (the only app I tried to install) and after reboot it goes in bootloop http://pastebin.com/hRev9ehR
Full wiped and flashed twice, with and without latest kernel

Ok my phone needed a clean, I flashed I9000XXJVS with repartition then a voodoo kernel and this rom now I have a clean install (an cleaning script like the ones found on HTC could help) now I have 1.6 Go free for apps \o/
I just lost my sdcard data in the process but all the important is on cloud or external

Getting process.android.media stopped working from time to time. Doesn't affect the operation of device, but it is just plain annoying. What is the culprit here?

Also, sorry if I sound like an idiot by asking this, but is the "Linaro Magic" that revolved around the AOSP ICS era present here? Personally I think the speed of this ROM is comparable to that of Slim ICS (slightly slower, but exceptionally good compared to Alpha ICS Roms...) Are performance improvements to be seen in the future or is this as fast as it the SGS will get :crying: (well don't think that'd be possible with such an awesome dev community:cool:, one of the best blessings of a SGS owner )

Today I got problem with the phone responding extremely slow - like waking up 3min, unlocking after another 3min etc.
I connected via adb and from the log (when searching for errors / failed etc.) I found following.

After reboot it's fine. I'm not sure if this will help to anything, but anyway - at least trying.

Code:
I/qtaguid ( 874): Failed write_ctrl(u 83) res=-1 errno=22
I/qtaguid ( 874): Untagging socket 83 failed errno=-22
W/NetworkManagementSocketTagger( 874): untagSocket(83) failed with errno -22

Code:
Line 6939: E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp( 582): get_adapter_path: D-Bus error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown (The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files)
	Line 6941: E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp( 582): get_adapter_path: D-Bus error: org.bluez.Error.NoSuchAdapter (No such adapter)
	Line 6941: E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp( 582): get_adapter_path: D-Bus error: org.bluez.Error.NoSuchAdapter (No such adapter)

Code:
Line 7305: E/Trace (27760): error opening trace file: No such file or directory (2)
Line 7311: E/Trace (27774): error opening trace file: No such file or directory (2)
Line 7331: E/Trace (27793): error opening trace file: No such file or directory (2)
Line 7397: E/Trace (27834): error opening trace file: No such file or directory (2)

CM10, V6, Devil 1.0.2, XL RAM, enabled Ultra KSM, SIO, SMARTASS2

I did do a full clean up (3 wipe+clear NS tools and all that stuff), but if you refer a full clean up as in not using TB to restore and downloading single apps you need from the Play Store, then no, I haven't done a "full clean up".

And no I do not have 400 apps, I just have a little over 100. ;)

I held high hopes for JB and for such an early development it looks very promising. Not really complaining, I'm just seeing how much more of the SGS' potential can the developers exploit via means of software.

Have you ever used iOS? As primitive as it can possibly be, it is a truly fluid experience and you'll understand why I've made such a comment in the first place.

Tweak the heap size settings in build.prop, especially the heapgrowth one.
Browser can use quite a lot of memory, and the freezes in the browser are due to the memory management.

Could you be more specific? What should I modify in particular?

Edit:
Are you reffering to these settings?
dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=5m
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=48m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=128m

And if I flash a new kernel will they be modified?

I have had my H network work but then quit back to 3g and connection not work at all so I went to *#*#4636#*#* in dialer the phone info then menu key and select radio band and the I set as automatic and the H came back. If it still not switching try airplane mode on off trick. I'm from Canada using UGKG3 modem.

dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=64m helps with the browser freezes.
You can change it at any time and just reboot to apply them.

Since official CM10 alpha got released today, I don't think, that there still is a need to update this rom. Going back to normal kernel business.

uploading V2 right now to http://devil.haxer.org/jellybean/ as well as to http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/divers/jellybean/

because of my upload speed, this is going to take about 1 hours...

    changes:
    - rom slimmed down and gapps/su fix included (thx to bhu1)
    - replaced ear.apk with one supposed to work (user report)
    - replaced hw composer with the one from nexus s (this is the jb one, old release was using ics hw composer)
    - fixed recording of 720p (upstream fix to media_profiles.xml

    install instructions:
    - wipe (coming from previous version, you also can try flashing without wipe, and wipe only, if you are facing issues)
    - flash
    - fix permissions
    - reboot

    have to work now. cu

kernel 1.7.4 is online now :)

i'll try to summerize the changes quickly...have to sleep:

    - latest linux 3.0.46
    - latest changes from android kernel source
    - low mem killer changes from steve kondik (cyanogen)
    - updateted recovery to latest version
    - fixed charging issues
    - vibrator intensity changes from cm team
    - dynamical fsync by faux123:
The dynamic sync control interface uses Android kernel's unique early
    suspend / lat resume interface.

While screen is on, file sync is disabled
when screen is off, a file sync is called to flush all outstanding writes
and restore file sync operation as normal.

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1896472&page=45

Had to clean my build folder. Wifi working now, after clean rebuild. I am trying to fix the other small issues, and upload the fixed version tomorrow morning... Compiling clean is taking many hours on my old computer...
