[ROM]SkyRaider For EVO 4G Version 4.2[Updated:6-28-11]
This is a port of the SkyRaider Sense 4.0 to the Evo 4G from the HTC Incredible.

Credit goes to ihtfp69 for all the hard work he put in to the original ROM
Original Source can be found here...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764787

This is still a work in progress.

THIS IS NOT SENSE 4.0, IT'S A HYBRID OF SENSE 1.0, 2.0 AND CM7

Changes In v4.2:
  • The Switch buttons setting now switches the graphics as well*
  • Setting to change the number of columns in the app drawer*
  • Setting to change the background color and transparency of the app drawer*
  • Added Downloads shortcut to launcher like gb
  • Fixed the ability to save scenes once they are modified
  • [BONUS] option for 15 custom screen off animations (via app) mapped to power button*

Version 4.1,
Re-ported changes from 4.0 to a more stable, snappier base.

Changes in 4.0
Quote:

*Six re-mappable Rosie buttons
*Custom app drawer shortcut
*Can switch phone and drawer buttons in settings*
*Custom application drawer title
*Low space wizard from Sense 3.0
*Reverted to working Music application
*Night mode setting now survives a reboot
*Added shortcut for the power menu popup
*Lock screen haptic feedback now tied to system setting
*Update Wireless Tether toggle so single press toggles each time and long press goes to settings
*Shortcut to Wireless Tether settings in Wireless & networks preference page
*Fixed lock screen sliding tab graphics
*Fixed Stocks widget
*Fixed services.jar so it can be de-compiled
*Easter egg (can you find it?)
*Updated a few apps
*Fixed Mms (hopefully...it works on my end)
*Edited settings.apk and htcsetupwizard.apk to say Sprint instead of Verizon/VZW
*Baked in Netarchy NOSBC kernel for WiFi fix out of box

Working
Everything for me except 4g, which isn't part of the original ROM

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the ROM from the link below
2. Place it on your sd card
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Do a nandroid backup
5. Perform a full wipe
6. Select "install zip from sdcard"
7. Select the file and you're on your way to happiness

First boot may take some time before startup... so be patient

This is still a work in progress, as I'm experiencing some random reboots (seems to be associated with mobile data/roaming).

Changes from original ROM; (very few so far)
Changed Camera.apk for function without a trackball
Edited Lense Lockscreen from "Verizon wireless" to "Evo 4G"
More to Come

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the ROM from the link below
2. Place it on your sd card
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Do a nandroid backup
5. Perform a full wipe
6. Select "install zip from sdcard"

It runs very smooth. There are some apps that need to be taken out (verizon specific ones; voicemail for instance) though, but thats why there's a WIP tag...I'm not going to do much until I get a PM response from original creator. When/if I get a green light, I'll change more stuff out and upload another (more sprint) release.

You will likely get all these questions, so I am going to ask you right now (that the thread is small and legible)

* 4G
* Video (720p)
* Camera (8 MP)
* GPS
* EPST
* Sensors

Is all of the above working?

Thanks for taking the time to port this and also for being respectful for the work of others. It is good to see devs who still believe in concepts like this.

I took a look at this rom earlier on when Clark requested it but I figured it was a waste of time because I thought no one was going to help out.

Glad to see people like you on here! Will subscribe to this thread as I too wish that you get the green light on this....

Everything works except 4G. There isn't an option to turn on 4G, so that's that I guess lol.

I'm assuming this is a CM7 base rom with a rosie hacked onto it, or is it a Sense base with CM7 features added? It looks half and half to me.

I took on the request as a challenge, because I've never had any luck with making/porting ROMS, so this is really the first ROM I've ever made/ported successfully!
