It's possible to do, but it'is much better to make a wipe of cache before

6. then volume down+power button then go to recovery and clean cache
if phone boot ur done if not..same procedure and restore backuped rom if u have one ..

I forgot to clear the cache also, but instead of removing the file from the memory card, i just removed the sdcard and booted the phone, cleared the cache, powered down, put in the sdcard, powered up while getting into bootloader, already flashed so rebooted again and voila...working. After that i cleared the cache again to be certain.

Had to try this way, because i was away from my computer with no card reader whatsoever.

works great!

and whats best: AirPlane mode works without higher battery drain!
(dont know its because of the radio, rom is miui 1.8.26)

Interesting....what usage are you seeing while in air plane mode, using battery monitor widget?

I still get 38mA in air plane mode using LBC ROM which is the same as with the previous radio, so perhaps it's also linked to the combination of ROM or kernel

Swyped from HTC Desire S using XDA Premium

damn, i tried again and now its at ~40mA high again
false alarm, sorry!

thats one of the most annoying issues with the custom rom/kernels,
and still nobody can fix it...

No problem.

and I totally agree, it happens across all Radios, kernels and ROMs so infuriating!

Still more efficient to leave radio on - which is crazy!

I 'm in Coredroid, with the new hboot 2.00.2002, with kernel Mdj's v4 and the new radio, and my Copilot apk found all the satellites in 30sec.
I cannot do that before.
I don't know if that while I've changed the radio or kernel, but I'm impressed by the speed.

And I use fasterfix apk for found "french or european satellites".

I think that for the first satellites research, it's long, and after it's much better and faster.
