Same here, I'm on bone stock 4.1.1. The only thing I have done successfully is unlock the bootloader. Frustrated.

well there really is no reason to root your xoom when you can just flash a rooted stock rom

flash twrp (download the img file)

then flash a stock rooted rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1798892 (wifi only)

or if you dont care about staying stock, then flash any of the many JB roms out there, by EOS, CodenameAndroid, etc
