So that is a yes. I am using an i9100 battery now. Only problem is that it won't let me turn on the phone if it is plugged in to the charger. No big deal.

Sooo, just to be absolutely sure. You are using
http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Samsun...axy+s2+2000mah
and it works good, right?

Nope, using the Anker batteries. Had good results with them for my old captivate.

Oh, ok. What do you mean by "it won't let you turn on the phone while on charger"?
1)If your phone is off, and you put it on charger, it won't let you turn it on? Or,
2)If your phone is low on battery, you put it on charger and it shuts down and not turning on, while on charger.

Cannot turn on the phone while plugged in. (1) So you have to turn on the phone when is unplugged. Easiest solution is to not let the battery so low and just charge it while the phone is still on.

So guys, is this battery good for i777 model still?
http://www.amazon.com/Anker%C2%AE-19...galaxy+s2+i777

The detail part mentions not compatible with the i777 model. So pls do clarify..
And if any other battery is available, (will prefer a battery which doesnt needs a new back panel) pls do provide the link. Amazon preferred, but do mention ebay link as well in any case.

Thanks in advance

And look in this thread, the above has been discussed at length.

Thanks for this, the battery life on my i777 has never been very good, even after battery swaps, i'll see if higher capacity will make enough of a difference.

There's lots of talk about used or third-party batteries from ebay, amazon and such; and also plenty of complaints about their performance.

Is there any downside to buying a new genuine part? (aside from cost, which I'd say is still reasonable)

Edit:
I'm just not sure why folks are after these fail replacement batteries, when the real battery is available at a range of costs, from a range of places. << eb-l1a2gba >>
