New System Update available directly from the tablet. Does anybody had some infos about it.

Hi!

My a100 is refreshed.

Old version: 3.2 - Acer_A100_1.014.08_COM_GEN1
New version: 3.2.1 - Acer_A100_2.007.04_COM_GEN1

Sorry not7, but 4. I was misspelled.

2.007.07? That''s a new one!

You should check for a second update to 2.007.04.

It arrived the same day as 2.007.01 (2 January) here in Québec.

There are no updates available on our A100's here in the US.

How do I get the URL for this update? Anyway other than looking on my router?

Got it here too, Montreal, Quebec, fired up the A100 and pop-up notification. Fingers crossed...

No update here, Ottawa Ontario Canada. Running Android 3.2.1, Build Number Acer_A100_2.001.01_COM_GEN2. Is everyone that is getting the update running on 3.2.1 or on 3.2?

root recovered with adb commands

Hi,
likely my first post here..

I installed the update, no problems.
Root was lost but after running the three 'adb.. ' commands root recovered.

have fun!

3.2.

Folks who previously updated to ''unofficial'' 2.001.01 do not seem to get the OTA upgrade. They have to downgrade to 3.2 stock to be able to get the ''official'' upgrade.

so how do i downgrade back to 3,2??

I used the 3.21 zip file from here on XDA to update, so how do I go back,so as to get the official OTA update

Reload stock ROM.

I used this one to downgrade from 3.2.1 posted here to 2007.01

Acer_A100_1.014.08_COM_GEN1 : http://vache-android.com/v1/download.php?fileID=109

and am installing the update now as we speak.

I'm in the U.S. and no update . Still on 3.2, Acer_A100_1.018.05_COM_GEN2 since I bought it. Do I need to unroot it to receive the OTA update?

I think Acer has forgotten the US on this

I got the System Update 2.007.01 & 2.007.04 yesterday,but the kernel had not been upgraded.
after upgraded,the system info show new version: 3.2.1 - Acer_A100_2.007.04_COM_GEN1
the kernel version is:2.6.36.3 (not 2.6.36.3+)
